Swiftly, Roman, Ashta, Riah, and Ray walked down the path toward the Garden of Eternity, but then Roman stopped and pulled back a branch of a bush and then, he gestured for the others to walk through. Quickly, Ashta, Riah, and Ray walked through the opening and then Roman came through and let go of the branch.
The sun was already setting, and the sky was turning black. Quietly, they crept up to the opening in the fence and peered out at the dead land. At that moment, they saw a small group of villagers with three of the queen's guards, and a Slayer man was being whipped by one of the guards. Angrily, Ashta and Riah growled as they took a step forward and Roman put his hand out to stop them.
"Please, stop!" cried the Slayer man.
