The guard that had spoken with Phabious’s brother walked to the outskirts of Nemiph and then he walked through the gate into Taitum. Surprisingly, when he looked through the streets of the burnt, dead village, there was not a soul in sight. “Andrew, Phabious?” he called, as he searched around, and there was not a guard in sight. Quickly, the man ran to the stables where they had kept the night shift slaves , and he was shocked to see that the whole place was empty. “Where is everyone?” He asked out loud as he looked around the stables. Remarkably, the man didn’t see any signs of struggle or anything that could give a clue to where everyone went. It was like everyone had just vanished into thin air without a trace.
