The Sacred Name

With the last member leaving the meadow, Kay follows. She made sure not to be seen while taking the alpha's invite. What amazed her was the fact that he, just like herself when in human, was looking like their wolf part. The alpha's hair in human form was black with golden eyes. She never met a werewolf with golden eyes. Curiosity is getting the best of her and then there are the feelings she is feeling. She also wants to know. Luckily, the packhouse is not too far away, and members made way for Drex to enter. "Drex?" an uncertain voice gets his attention. This voice isn't usually uncertain. He looks at her and her expression shows it all. She is amazed and surprised at the same time. "Did you know that there is a white wolf who followed you?" she asks, her voice trembling a bit. A wild white wolf is rare to see so close to werewolves. And now one is deep within their territory. A big one too. Drex follows her line of sight, his eyes falling on Kay again. "Oh, I didn't think you would accept my invite. Please make sure that your paws are clean before entering the packhouse. Hila here-" he places his hand on Hila’s, his best friend and true beta, right shoulder "-will clean your paws with water and is the only one that may touch you," he walks in after those words, declaring how this event shall be handled. The rest of the pack was shocked that the white wolf came today. The white wolf indeed gives strength to a pack, and those blessed with its presence even gain abilities sometimes. After the attack on this pack by the rogues, they sure want it more than anything else in the world at this stage. Hila luckily ordered an omega to get her a bucket of lukewarm water and a dry towel as soon as Drex went in. Kay walks to the door, looking at Hila as she bends down on her knees to wash Kay's paws. Hila is amazed at how soft Kay's fur is. She knows wild wolves have soft manes, but Kay's fur is something out of this world. It is unbelievably soft. Touching silk can’t even describe the feeling and texture. It feels amazing. It's a great deal to touch this wolf, and Hila knows it. She has been taught that white wolves are sacred. Even if they can shift, they are still wolves. The moon goddess created them so that they can teach you how to be more wolf, how to trust the wolf side of you and be more dependent on your wolf, for the instincts can be used for your life in battle and to survive. Hila smiles as she dries off the last paw, with Drex coming down the stairs after taking a quick shower and a change of clothes. He eyes Kay with a frown on his handsome face. Hila can see into the eyes of the white wolf in front of her. The eyes that have been drawn by the one who proclaimed the future of their kingdom. Hila can also see soul-willed questions in these beautiful heterochromia iridium eyes. "Alpha is the reason you 're here?" she asks, shocked and excited about the turn of events. Hila looks at Drex, will his prophecy come true? Will he be able to receive the blessing of the Moon Goddess? And then make this pack the strongest it has ever been? "No," Drex replies with a bit of anger. He doesn't like the prophecy that was told the day he was born. He doesn't like this message one bit. "You know just as well as me, that you can't stop your destiny," Hila states. Words are always reminding him of the cruel fate he has. Drex doesn't want to lead or be strong. He just wants to live in peace, be happy and enjoy his life. The afternoon is quiet with the white wolf staring at Drex. He has ignored it so far. For everyone else, it's a bit startling. They don't know why the wolf followed their new alpha. They want answers to questions. Questions they do not dare to ask themselves. Alpha is not someone to be angry with. They don't know him that well yet, but they know he has authority. He is powerful, they can feel it. Kay finally moves, and she moves towards Drex. The pack members are getting Drex's attention. Their gasping annoys him. It's clear to him they are not used to these unexpected things. Sensing Kay near him, he glances at her from the corner of his eyes. She is sniffing him again. Her beautiful eyes are full of questions, curiosity, and adventure. "What? Do I smell funny?" he asked, annoyed. He's annoyed because his life will take a drastic turn. He doesn't like change. He already had to deal with the loss of his soul mate and now he must deal with this change. He doesn't like it. He is not ready for this. He wasn't even ready to lose the love of his life. Hell, who is ever ready to lose them? He is amazed, though. Amazed at how he survived till now. His self-hatred didn't do him any good, it still doesn't do him any good. He feels like he deserves to hate himself. He wasn't there for his soul mate and it's eating at him now, every day. This white wolf has a refreshing accuracy at the moment. He knows he has to work on himself, but for the time being, he'll enjoy the distraction. Kay moves towards Hila and sniffs her too. She doesn't smell like a wild wolf; she smells different from Drex. Kay frowns at this. She looks back at Drex and tilts her head. "Why do you smell like a wild wolf?" Kay asks in Drex's head. Drex's energy shifts and everyone can feel it. "You can mind link?" he asks, a bit taken aback and disturbed, too. "Yes, if I want to," Kay replies, and he frowns upon her words. "Hila, do I smell like a wild wolf?" Drex moves his eyes to Hila next. Hila looks at him and studies him first to see if he is being serious. "He smells like a wild wolf," Kay's mind links Hila without a second thought. Hila's face goes pale and her eyes are wide in shock. Drex can see it caught her off guard just as it did him, but he can quickly fake it, because of his upbringing as royalty. "Can it be because he is Royalty?" As Hila suggested, Drex just glares at her. She just gave away what his bloodline was. Die other pack members were too shocked to respond to what they heard. "Is that also the reason for his golden eyes?" Kay added another question. "Yes, the hair of his human form and his wolf are the same, like the eye color. It shows how strong the royal and ancient blood runs through him," Hila explains as well as she could, happy about it too. Hoping that Kay will understand. "So for him, is that normal?" Kay will make sure she gets it. Hila nods at Kay and then looks at Drex. He's just starring at Kay. "Tell me, wolf. What is your name? You know mine, but I do not know yours," Drex asked. Kay's eyes flashed something dangerous in them. Everyone except Drex and Hila is moving away just in case. It's clear that this white wolf can't be controlled by the Alpha, except if it follows the alpha's command. Kay doesn't feel like giving her birth name. She has never given her birth name to anyone yet. She doesn't trust this strange alpha or anyone inside this room, even pack. He needs to prove his worth first. Kay makes eye contact with him and shifts to her human form. Her white hair hung on her shoulders. Covering her beautiful pale body. Naturally, she is fully clothed. The clothes are not fitting her anymore, she has outgrown them. They cover the important parts of her body. All white wolves can have their clothes on directly after shifting. It's a gift from the Moon Goddess so that they can live without any need to worry about unnecessary things. "I go by the name Kay, Alpha Drex," she answers him and he frowns at her. Hila was just starring with enormous eyes at the beauty before her. What shocks her the most, just like the rest of the members there, is that she just shifted into a human. "So you're a werewolf?" Drex had to ask what everyone was thinking. "I am not sure. I was always capable of shifting," Kay adds, watching every movement around her. "Yes, white wolves shift early and really powerful white wolves, very blessed by the Moon Goddess, can shift from birth. It's normal for you," Drex explains, not really interested in what's happening at the moment. "Moon Goddess?" Kay looks shocked for a moment, but curiosity replaces it really quickly. Drex glances at Kay again. He finds her attractive and so innocent. "She is our maker. She is the one who gave this gift to us. Well, she was the one that granted us our wolf half. She also made sure that we found the other half of our soul," Drex explains, the last part bitterly to mention. "I see." Kay's mind is running around with more and more questions. She needs to sort them to make sense of them. There is so much she wants to know, she doesn't know where to begin. "Kay is not your real name," a member speaks up, breaking her mind from her thoughts. "If you can't tell us your correct name. How will we receive the blessing of the Moon Goddess?" he had to ask and declare it. Anger and urgency in his voice. Demanding their blessing from Kay. Which in return made Kay frown. Her eyes suddenly turned cold and feral. Drex gives a knowing smile and looks towards the elderly that stepped forward, too. "Wasn't that clear, Elder? We do not have her trust and therefore we will not have the sacred name that can bind her here," Hila says loudly and with disgust. How dare this wolf say something so disrespectful against Kay? "We need to prove our worth. And if she is even willing to share the sacred name with us or just the Alpha. It's her choice to make," she adds with a growl. The elder exposes his neck to show he surrenders to her. Hila is a powerful beta.
