Again, it's a wintry morning, with the snow falling to the ground. Kay is already standing outside at the SUV she will be in with Hila, Drex, and the driver she doesn't know his name. She is not good with names. She was in a vehicle before. Not by will, of course. She was captured by wizards so that they can make her a familiar. Which made little sense to her at all. They usually have little demonic creatures that they are familiar with.
And frankly, she doesn't care to learn names. She is not planning to live in this pack forever.
If the plan changes and she stays, she'll make the effort by learning everyone's names. Hila comes out of the packhouse first and shows Kay that she can get in.
