PROLOGUE

16th Century London, Europe.

This was certainly a time to remember.

As per usual the streets were flooded with dames decked in bright long gowns -- usually seen with sleeves, worn over a kirtle or under gown and a linen of chemise securely worn next to the skin.

On the other hand, The male population paraded in attires somewhat closely nit. Linen shirts were seen with either a ruff or collar, and a wrist ruffs to match. Doublets were worn over the shirts with a long sleeves sewn or laced in place.

The living conditions were an eyesore -- Homes were filthy, insalubrious and ramshackle, characterised by a dense web of streets and alleys, organic in their growth and quite ancient on plan.

Buildings jettied out from upper storeys forming dark caves of winding lanes almost touching in places. Walls were built from flammable plaster and lath; roofs often of thatch. The city was full of sheds and yards packed high with flammable hay and straw.

There was no drainage. Chamber pots or jordans, were emptied out of windows. Hence, hygiene was a very serious problem.

The city was also a noisy place. Streets were notoriously narrow, cobbled and slippery often with the slime of refuse. And robbery was a common fort around this time.

Consequently, street travel became a particularly cumbersome affair.

Although, that didn't stop salesmen from shouting out their wares, bells rang and beggars could be heard on every street corner. Among the masses, wheat bread was the favorite staple, but most peasants lived on Rye and Barley in the form of bread and beer.

In contrast the rich enjoyed the luxuries of the age having it a lot easier and ate very differently from the poor.

Unlike the rye and barely the less privileged would have the rich had access to a wide range of exotic foods, including spices, fruits, and meats.

Living conditions were a lot different compared to the ramshackle homes. The rich lived in large, luxurious houses, often with multiple rooms and servants to cater to their every need. They would also have access to fine clothing, jewelry, and other luxuries that most people could only dream of.

At least the human human population of the earth that is.

Unbeknownst to humans an entirely different ecosystem coexists alongside them -- commonly known as the Supernatural.

One who exhibit strength unimaginable and abilities that transcend any humans capability.

Living Inconspicuously -- these creatures stay sprinkled among the clueless humans.
