We should go to bed, of course. I’m supposed to prove myself as a capable fighter tomorrow, and I’ll need to have my strength and wits about me. But having told Jesse that I loved him, I’m finding that I want to tell him more. There’s still so much he doesn’t know about me—so much that he’s already told me he wants to know. I was scared, before, to share the most intimate details of my life with him. But now? I know it doesn’t have to be tonight. But, frankly, it could all go to hell tomorrow.
