Chapter 2Philip was still seething the next morning. He couldn’t believe that he hadn’t noticed the signs. Adam had used him and he hadn’t realized something was going on. The little bastard had been able to charm his way through Philip’s suspicions. He made himself smell like roses at the time.
He certainly didn’t smell like them now, although Adam would beg to differ.
Philip struggled to sleep, which meant he ended up going to work in a very bad mood. It was difficult to keep his personal and professional lives separate, but Philip did what he could. These children are sick; they didn’t need their nurse having a hissy fit because he discovered his partner cheating.
