Katrina’s POV The door slammed behind me, rattling against its frame, but it wasn’t enough to drown out the memory of his mouth on mine. Damon’s kiss clung to me like smoke after a fire, lingering in every breath I took, searing my lips even though he wasn’t here. I pressed trembling fingers to my mouth, willing the sensation away.
