CHAPTER 1

1110 Words
Thenesis is the continent where all kinds of magic exist. From time to time, the spread in the use of magic had been widened, creating three sub-continents—Lux, Tenebris, Statera, and Algoria. Lux is the continent where light exists. Tenebris is the exact opposite of Lux. Statera is in balance while Algoria is the most reckless yet powerful continent, also it is the smallest subcontinent located in the center of Thenesis.   The four sub-continents created their own kingdom to rule with. To prevent the war, barriers between the four subcontinents had been created. Different tribes and magic kinds cannot stay in one place. Every ruler of the four subcontinents added a law stating that “Contact with different people from other subcontinents is strictly prohibited.”   Algoria is a wealthy continent having 21 countries in total. The most popular country names Fierre—called as the island of fire have 25 guilds. But there’s one guild that’s different from the other ones. That is the Stellaris. Badass, notorious, powerful, those are the best words to describe that guild. On behalf of their bad records, they still shine sitting on the throne of the hall of fame.    Meanwhile, a woman entered the famous Magic Shop of Flare—city of Fierre. She’s asking for new magic accessories. “How much is this?” A smile formed on her lips while holding the ancient necklace of Polaris. It is one of the ancient artifacts popular to Constellation Spirit Sorcery.    “25 thousand gems, madam.” Her eyes became wide when she heard the answer. A fake smile plastered on her lips while she clenched her fists.   “What did you say? 25 thousand gems? Oh men, where can I even get that much money? I can’t even pay my rent.” She brought her bag with her carrying disappointment on her shoulders. Departing from the eastern port Flare, there’s a small crowd formed in front of the first establishment built with massive rocks. Piercing eyes of her sighted that small crowd covering the nice view of architecture.   “Hey! Move a side!” She shouted with anger. The crowd split into two showing a handsome looking prince—a magician rather. That’s Luca, the constellation spirit Ophiuchus known as the snake charmer. He tried to lure the woman with his eyes but unlucky it didn't affect her.    “I’m Lady Lithia of the Melbourne Clan. I’m a constellation sorceress. Mind if we have a small talk?” she asked after giving him a vow as a sign of respect. She can feel that Luca is the Snake Charmer she’d been looking for. I think a small talk would persuade this spirit to have a contract with me. Probably this will work this time. She told herself.   “Where are you going, Luca?”   “Luca, we’re not finished yet!”   “Hey, you girl must go away!”              “Don’t steal our prince.”             “Relax ladies; we will just have a small talk.” A surprised reaction painted on her pretty face when Luca held her hand and pulled her off the crowd.    “What is it that you wanted to talk about, Lithia of the Melbourne clan?” his bloodshot eyes stared at Lithia. Fiery glares made her jolt. She crouched and then planned fast on her mind how to escape Ophiuchus’ hands. Lithia is confused. Lately she wanted to get the key, but then when she noticed how mischievous and dangerous he is, she started to regret her decision.   “It’s no-nothing. I-I should go.” And before she escaped, Ophiuchus grabbed her arm, pinning her into the wall then cornered her.    On the other hand, Wrath and his spirit guide Nichus—a winged-dog of Ceruvian roaming around the city of Flare. Let me describe Wrath for a while. He is a sorcerer raised by the God of the Wind, Zephyr. His hair is white, having a tall height and tan skin. Perfect to lure women but he’s not interested. All he knows is that he loves food and his dog Nichus.   Wrath felt how hungry he was when the monster inside his stomach growled. “I’m starving!” He complained. Nichus seemed not to care about his fuss. He’s busy sniffing and following a certain smell that bugs his olfactory.   “Hey, buddy! Wait up? Where are you going?” Veins on his neck showed up when he groaned. Nichus looked back at him.   “I smell something bad. Let’s follow it.” Wrath ignored his hunger and followed Nichus. He just heard a sound that can make his ears bleed. A scream as loud as a banshee’s irritated ears. That was Lithia’s. She’s screaming for help because Ophiuchus showed her a snake.    Wrath and Nichus run as fast as they can just to reach Lithia. “Help me!” She screamed. Wrath punched Ophiuchus on the face then pulled Lithia away from him. He’s such a nice guy.    With a smile on his face, Ophiuchus pulled something on his pocket. It’s an “I’m sorry. I just want to send her my invitation for tonight.” He walked away and teleported to somewhere else. Wrath knelt down to pick up the keys that fell from Lithia’s pocket.   “Well, I guess this was yours,” he said.    “Thanks.” A warm smile formed on her lips. She took her keys and helped him to stand up.   MEANWHILE…  Wrath and Nichus devour their food like wild animals. They can’t stop their hunger so they keep on eating even without chewing their food, they swallow it immediately. Lithia felt embarrassed as she watched these two idiots eating like there’s no tomorrow. Tons of food had been eaten! They are both similar to a starving predator drooling for his prey.    “Slow down!”  Lithia loudly whispered on the air. She seems like she wants to stab them with a fork—crazy!    Wrath caressed his stomach—sign for being full. A burp went out from his mouth before he covered it. What a shame! Lithia loudly laughed in disgust. “i***t!” she commented. For the payment, Lithia did the thing as her gratitude for being saved a while ago.    “Thank you, madam!” her eyes became wide open again looking those two kneeling in front of her. All eyes on them, laughs and screams. Other people in the restaurant are being disturbed by Wrath and Nichus’ action.   “N-no pro-problem!” she said and immediately ran. While on her way to Aristocrat Cathedral in the center of Flare city, she saw a girl being chased by a wild boar escaping from its cage. Then she remembered her Constellation spirit Orion the hunter.   “With all 88 heavenly bodies, I’m opening the 26th door of the constellation! Orion, the hunter!” her words opened the door for Orion to come out from the sky. Lithia commanded her to hunt the wild boar, so as she ran fast and chased after Aura, the Orion. Her arrow hit the boar making it bleed. Fast and steady, she didn’t miss!   “Thank you, Aura.” Lithia finally closed Orion’s door.
