ATTENDING CLASSES

We were awoken by the sound of the alarm. Tonia and I woke up from sleep staring at each other with sleepy eyes

it's morning music princess, she said smiling with blue eager eyes

we are getting late for school already stop the laughter and get your feet's here right now! we heard Andrew scream from the living room

coming papa,!! Tonia and I mocked and we both laughed again before we stood up from the bed to prepare for school

Wow, it's gonna be my first day attending classes at Queens, And I wonder how lectures would be like. Tonia and I got dressed and we walk out to meet Andrew who had prepared breakfast for everyone. He was already dressed while waiting for us at the dinning

wow, you prepared breakfast? I asked picking a cookie from the tray

Andrew prepares almost all the meals he's a good cook Tonia remarked while taking her seat

wow, this tastes good, I acknowledged with a mouth filled with cookies

thanks he said shyly as he sat opposite me. He was looking so handsome that morning dressed in a denim jean and a black sweatshirt. He looked at me and our eyes met but he turned away at once.

After breakfast, we all trekked back to school. our home was just two blocks away from school.

gosh we have to hurry, Andrew said walking fast as we got into the school premises

he has chemistry as his first class today, and the chemistry teacher is no joke, Tonia said as she strolled behind us

Andrew waved us goodbye as we all departed to our various classes. He was a science student while Tonia and I study art. She helped me locate my locker at the locker room before we proceeded to our own class. As we walked near the class which was filled with so much noise, Tonia turned to me,

hey.. you have to be careful, the students here are no joke, they're one of the craziest students in the whole school she remarked

ain't we gonna be sitting together? I asked

no, I have a seatmate already and she won't wanna let me sit somewhere else cause I help in doing most of her works she is a rich kid and she is dull too, Tonia said smiling sheepishly at me.

oh, OK.. I said sadly as we both headed to the classroom.

jeez... I muttered to myself as I saw the three bullies occupying the front seat. They were chewing bubble gums and chatting together. I couldn't believe I was in same class with them. Everyone in the classroom were chatting and laughing while some were listening to music. There was no teacher yet so the students were all having a good time. As they caught sight of Tonia and I, everyone burst into laughter

the cowgirl's in our class? someone said from behind

hey Tonia you're the cowgirl's baby sitter now? another girl chipped in

Oh.. I forgot you the nerd's sister so you can babysit his girlfriend, One of the bullies said and everyone laughed again.

I looked down in shame feeling so embarrassed right now. I needed to be out of here I thought

maintain your cool, look for a place to sit and don't talk to anybody, Tonia whispered to my ears and she went to take her seat. I looked around trying to get a seat when I saw a guy in a white hood with his headphones on, he was sitting at a far end of the class. He looked calm as he seems to be enjoying whatever he was listening to. I remembered him, he was the guy I bumped into before the three bullies attacked me at the hall. He was sitting alone and so I walked towards him with few eyes staring at me

can.. can..I use your seat? I asked. He looked at me and nodded before turning away. I held my schoolbag in my hands as I sat close to him. My heart skipped as the smell of his Cologne filled my nostrils. He was really handsome and neat, he smells good too.

Hey! I heard someone scream which jolted me out of my fantasy. I turned to see one of the bullies standing in front of me. She was probably their leader same one I competed with back then at mariossa

what are you doing sitting close to my boyfriend! she yelled

I... I... um.. I stammered and she pulled my hair at once

get your asses away from here now!!! she screamed in my face

Molly can you just stop! I heard Tonia scream from her seat

I wriggled in pain as Molly continued to drag my hair

enough Molly what's all this s**t about! the boy beside me yelled and Molly dropped my hair. I grasped for breathe at once

She shouldn't sit close to you she stinks, Molly retorted

You're such a nuisance, I heard him say angrily

are you still here? don't you get it dumb ass!! Molly yelled and I got up at once and began to fidget

I'm outer here, the boy fumed angrily and walked out from us to sit beside some other guys sitting at the other end of the class

Jeff! Molly screamed after him

What's going on here? we heard a voice ask from behind. We all turned and saw a teacher standing in front of the class. Molly fumed and walked away. I held my chest still trying to grasp for air. She almost drained the life out of me. I can't stay here any longer, there is no way I'm gonna survive here at Queens I said to myself. I started as a senior student but I can't just wait for my graduation so I'll be out of here.

The whole class became calm as the Literature teacher walked in. She looked at me and our eyes met.

Are you new? she asked and I nodded. She smiled and dropped her books on the desk. She was dressed in grey suits and black heels to match. She was young and pretty with dark ebony hairs

come on, you'll have to make an introduction she said smiling at me. I flinched at once. How am I supposed to do that, walk out and introduce myself in front of these mean students? I asked myself

come on, she urged and everyone turned to look at me. I was glued to my seats already. I don't even have the courage to walk out,I got up with my body still vibrating, I managed to walk to the front of the class as everyone stared at me. I could see the trio all sneering at me from where they sat.

I'm miss Lora the literature teacher, and I want you to tell us about yourself so we'll get to know you more the teacher said smiling at me

I opened my mouth to speak but the words were stuck. I could feel different eyes staring at me some with mockery

she loves potatoes and so I gave her one, Cassy replied and everyone laughed again

Get out of my class now! and be ready to face me after classes miss Lora yelled

what? you're sending me out because of this trash? Cassy asked

really? oh cause your parents are rich uh? you think you can control me like you do other teachers? now the three of you get out now! she yelled

what! they all screamed

Out before I call the authorities on you spoilt brats! she yelled

you'll pay for this I swear.. Molly said as she walked out with her gang

and you cowgirl, we haven't forgotten so you know, you're in our black book now, Cassy added and they all snapped their fingers at me before they walked out twisting their waists. Tonia approached me with a wiper which I used in cleaning up the mess

so sorry dear, they're just a bunch of nuisance.. miss Lora said to me and I nodded before walking back to my seat

I couldn't concentrate all through the rest classes, I thought about Cassy's words about me being on their black book what does that mean? I asked my self. I think it's time to go back home. It's better to be a dropout than to be constantly humiliated by my fellow students.

After classes, Tonia walked up to meet me and we both walked to the locker room.

I'm sorry, she said looking at me

it's fine, I guess it's time to go back home, you've done a lot for me already, you and Andrew are the best I said

no you can't do that, Tonia snapped and stopped beside a locker

I don't belong here Tonny I can't stand being humiliated all the time by those brats.. I said angrily

hey we have do something about it then going back home is not the solution she said

it's better off than being here, I hate Queens and I hate the people here I just hope miss Lora doesn't get into trouble because of those brats

Her father used to be the vice principal here at Queens, everyone respects her Tonia remarked

hmm, Come on what about the black book stuff? I don't want to get into trouble I said

don't worry I promise you'll be fine, come on let's join Andrew he's waiting for us at the canteen, she said and I managed to smile

OK.. I said smiling and we both walked out

During the rest of the afternoon classes, I didn't see the trio, I was happy they didn't came back after they were sent out in the morning by miss lora

Music classes would be starting by 4pm today, I heard the teacher said and everyone screamed happily. Tonia turned to look at me and I winked at her. I guess everyone here loves music and now I'm finally going to show them what I've got maybe they'll like me who knows? I asked myself
