Sometime later...
I must have passed out. I woke up sometime later on a couch, the house was quiet other than a soft playing of music. I made my way towards the music. It was beautiful almost as if it were calling to me. I swam through a doorway and the sight that greeted me was not what I expected at all. The room was so bright as if made of gold. I was so busy admiring my surroundings I almost didn't notice the beautiful man standing in the middle of the room until a delicious smell wafted past my nose and I was enticed to find where it was coming from.
I had never met the man before, but he was staring intensely at me and I was staring back. I realized I was slowly drifting towards him. He had been the source of that beautiful music. I swam over to him and asked stupidly,
"May I join you?"
He raised an eyebrow at me and said cooly, "Of course, but where is your instrument?"
Startled I looked around and realized we were in what appeared to be a giant orchestra hall. I looked at the instruments surrounding me and selected an open-faced flute. We played a beautiful melody of our own making as our bodies danced around each other. The chemistry was visible between us, although I felt as though I weren't worthy of his attentions. He was a beautiful, majestic creature, and I felt like an ugly shrimp in comparison.
He whispered something under his breath that I didn't quite catch but it sounded like mate.
"Excuse me?" I said.
He exclaimed a little louder, "Mate!"
Oh no this can't be happening not now I've never even had a boyfriend what am I supposed to do in this situation?
"No, you can't be?!" I whispered confused and shocked.
Is that what that feeling was that I couldn't quite put a finger on? I had never felt like this before. All I could think to do was turn and run. That is exactly what I did, leaving my mate with a hurt look on his beautiful face. As I ran out the door I told a man standing in the doorway,
"Tell him to find me."
