Prologue

I was once a human, but stolen away at birth to become a mer. My life was planned out for me from a very young age, with high hopes for what I would become. I am 18 now and my world has been turned upside down. I always believed I knew who I was, but now I feel that I know nothing. The ones I knew as my mother and father are not who they said they were. Who else is not trustworthy I do not know. Who else knew the secret of who I truly am. What was my name at birth? Who are my real parents? These questions raced through my head. I had made up my mind the moment I found out, I am not of the world I had always know. I had been adopted when found at sea as a baby those many years ago. I will go on a quest to seek answers for which no one knew. To find my biological parents and answers for how I had gotten here and who was responsible. Could I fulfill my quest and find the answers I so desperately needed. Only the future could tell so.
