They ended up, of all things, going back to sleep. Jayden woke up still wrapped around Darren. Darren’s face was blotchy and pale, but dry, his closed eyes rimmed in sore-looking red. Jayden curled a little closer for a minute, rubbing his hand along the inside of Darren’s closest arm. The skin was smooth—or, at least, there weren’t any new catches there. He hadn’t… Jayden kissed his exposed neck and slid out of bed.
