One-sided obsession

Sam and Sophia are off to party. It's 10 pm and there is deafening silence in the house.

Linda stays in her room most of the day. The Cadel enters the house along with her girlfriend.

"Let's go to my room there on the right"

Linda felt some noise but she neglected.

After they went to peaks, Cadel lied straight on the bed, breathing shallow and so did his girlfriend.

"Darling, come on don't over think". he hugged her and kissed on cheeks. "It's too late, let me drop you home". He got up from bed and put on his shirt.

Linda was popping in his mind and his mind was still there when he saw her later that day.

As Cadel and his girlfriend both were leaving their room, Linda suddenly opens her room holding an empty water bottle which she wants to fill. Linda and Cadel saw each other while his girlfriend face was in other direction. This glimpse was electrifying.

"I knew it, this boy must have girlfriend. Why would hot boys stay single?", Linda was self-talking.

The next morning, Cadel decided to chase Linda when she was going to school. Cadel follows her car just to know where she's studying. His eyes brighten when he gets to know that they are studying in the same school. He hides himself as she passed by.

He inquired off her class and her break time so that he could meet her finally.

As soon as she comes out of the class after the lecture, Cadel follows her and walks behind her.

"Linda" he finally said

Linda turns her head and look him astonishingly.

"You...here...why are you here?", she said anxiously.

"This is my school too", Cadel politely answered.

"Why would I believe? There must be any reason", she said.

"No. Can we talk for some minutes? I won't bother you too much", Cadel tries to convince her.

She doesn't want any fuss around her so she accepted to sit in the canteen.

Cadel was almost lost in her. She notices and snaps her finger. "Hey?"

"Yes I'm here", he replied with deep breathe.

"What do you want?", she asked in hurry.

"It's a coincidence that we study here and along with this you are now residing at my house. We can be friends. What you think?", he came to the point.

"Friends? like seriously? Are you out of your mind? Don't you know our relation as per our parent's relationship?", she almost screamed.

"Calm down, I don't give a damn about their relationship. Don't tell me if you care about that fuckin' relation", he controlled himself "Listen, I know you are alone in the house. You can have my company. We'll have a good time as friends".

Linda couldn't speak. Somehow, she was agreed to him but was pessimistic and puzzled.

She goes back to her department for the next class.

Cadel couldn't forget her. He continues thinking about her and wants her to meet.

He asked his dad about her pretending to be unaware of. Sam agreed him to meet her stepdaughter and introduce him to her.

That night, Sophia called Linda to the dinner table. Cadel was already there. Linda came confidently and sat along with her mother.

"This is Cadel, Sam's only son", Sophia points towards him.

"Hi", he said

"Hi", she replied

That day changed one thing, both their kids started to have dinner together as a family occasionally especially on weekends.
