I'm doomed. How am I going to let her go?
I stroll back to the pub to get Katie. She's probably fuming. She almost scratched Jessica's eyes out when Liv left.
"James! There you are, Pooh Bear."
What the f**k, Jessica?
"What are you still doing here? And stop calling me that."
"Pooh, please we need to talk. I want you back. I miss you."
This woman is delusional.
"Why in god's name would I take you back? After what you did? Just get the hell away from me!" I try to push her off me.
"Where is Aiden? You know what? I don't care. Just leave me alone."
"But you love me. You have to. That's why you didn't prosecute. I know it's because you love me."
I'm dumbfounded.
"NO! It's because I rather let you have the money, than seeing you again. I never wanted to see you again. I hoped the money, and my best friend was enough. I don't love you. I didn't even liked you that much."
I'm cruel, I know I am. It's all the pent up frustration and anger that's bursting out.
Katie sees us and is on her way to us. Jessica see her and decided to leave with tears rolling down her face.
"You OK bro? I swear I'll hurt her in so many ways."
"I'm okay. Let's get back home. I'm so done with tonight."
"What did Liv say? She was really pissed. She had some moves. Think everyone in that pub had a hard on when she pinned the witch."
Katie has no filter.
"Oh hell, Katie. You are crazy."
"Come on. What's going on with you and Liv?"
"I don't know. I asked her to be with me for the week. She's hesitant. I hope I didn't f**k it up. I Googled her and I let it slip."
"She didn't slap you? I would've."
"No, we talked and I asked. She'll let me know. Hell, Katie. A whole week with her? I swear I'll never ask for anything else."
Katie gets her puppy love face.
"Oh man, I hope you get your week. I heard that she really likes you, but she's not going to take your s**t brother. I think that's exactly what you need"
"What do you mean? What s**t do I have?"
" One, the toilet seat thing. Two, no feet on you couch. Three, no eating on the couch. Four, the TV can only be so loud...”
"Okay, okay! I get it.."
"James, I swear you are worse than an old lady."
"Come on, let's go home. You can sleep over. I'll drop you off tomorrow morning."
~
"O'Brien" it's bloody 5 in the morning and someone is calling.
"James, please don't put down the phone. I just want to see you. I just want to apologize. Please."
"Jessica, do you have any idea what time it is? Fine, apology accepted. Now leave me alone."
"Please James. It will be the last time you ever have to see me"
Sounds like a deal. Five minutes then never see her again. It's going to be brutal five minutes but then I'm done.
"Where?"
She gives me the info. She usually goes the fine dine places. This place is more like a diner. Better get it over with.
