Mysterious Allure

Chapter 3

All the way he kept pondering over that weird incident that how he wasn't able to meet that girl during the whole journey. Balbir was feeling remorse for not even able to know that girl's name. After reaching his home, he ringed the doorbell and his mother opened the door for him. 

His mother was really happy to see him, she was calling out to everyone gleefully informing about Balbir's arrival. Balbir took a breath of relief after reaching his home. Everyone was delighted to have Balbir back at home. Balbir bought shawl for his father and a rich woolen fabric suit for his mother. His parents were very content after receiving the gifts. In Balbir's small nuclear family besides him, his parents, he also had a older brother who was a doctor in foreign. 

Balbir used to chat through video call with his brother. From past three years they all were chatting with Balbir's older brother via video call. Balbir's older brother didn't came to India since 6 years, he didn't wanted to return to India. He wanted to call Balbir too but Balbir didn't wanted to leave his parents and get settled in foreign that's why he used to avert his brother's invitation. This time too he did the same.

Balbir himself worked in a reputed Multi national company. Balbir's job was well and organized and the packages he used to receive were good too. On the surface, Balbir didn't have any problem or difficulty however his life was surrounded by many tedious complications and mysterious incidents. Whenever he used to talk about this matter with his close friends, they used to make fun of him, joke around and make some sarcastic comments by saying "he is just building castles in air, its all his imagination''. 

Slowly - slowly Balbir stopped discussing and opening up to someone about this matter. He used to remain entangled in his problems all by himself. Sometimes seeing him troubled his father used to pat his head with warm affection asking about his problems but he used to avoid his question with the fear that what if his father also didn't understand him, then he would really feel very hurt, due to this reason he never told him anything.

 Time was passing by and Balbir's sleeping disorder was still the same. Balbir's company was impressed from his work and was going to send him on a tour to Australia. After getting a fifteen day package of Australia , every employee was very happy despite Balbir, he wasn't happy. Balbir was confirmed that in Australia too, his sleeping disorder won't left him alone that's why he wanted to avoid that Australia trip however it wasn't possible and he had to prepare for the tour unwillingly. He didn't wanted to spoil his image in front of the company. 

Balbir got ready earlier than his usual time and called the taxi driver to pick him up at the given time and to take special care of his punctuality as he wanted to reach the airport a little early then the actual time . His mother already prepared his breakfast on the dining table. After eating , he immediately called the taxi driver to come as soon as possible .

 For some unknown reason taxi driver was taking time to come and was already delayed from the time Balbir gave him. Balbir was getting nervous and desperate , he was chewing on his lips and fidgeting with fingers. Seeing the running time Balbir's father insisted on dropping Balbir on airport through his car but Balbir didn't wanted to trouble his father however due to the current situation and lack of time he has to agree. His father dropped him at the right time.

 Now all his worry flew away and a relieved expression took all over his face with a bright smile as he reached airport on the time . His father were also delighted seeing him all happy. Balbir bid farewell to his father and went to the check in counter. His father stood there as long as Balbir's sight didn't disappeared amidst the crowd. 

Before boarding the flight, Balbir asked his father about his safe arrival via phone and his father replied that he reached home a few minutes ago only. Balbir took a breath of relief, now he can travel in peace. 

On correct 2:20 am at night , Balbir woke up , he was sweating excessively and when he looked around everyone else was sleeping peacefully . He was feeling as if he is getting suffocated, he wasn't able to breathe and was short on breath , he unbuckled his belt and ran towards the washroom . After a while , everything got normal. 

Like every time Balbir was drowned in thought and thinking over and over about the solution of this problem . While brooding , he was reminded of his older brother. He thought that after reaching Australia,  the first thing he will do will tell all about this to his older brother on phone, maybe he would have some treatment of this problem .

 At the time of landing , unconsciously his mind drifted towards that college girl, he felt that girl's presence, he looked in every four directions however to meet that girl on the Australia's airport was next to impossible still he was felt her presence continuously. 

He ignored it again by assuming it as his misconception and went to his hotel straight after the plane's landing and completion of the procedures. Balbir book his hotel at the most hustling bustling city where his hotel was provided with all the facilities. After reaching his hotel , he instantly called his older brother to inform about his situation and told him about his Australia tour . After hearing that Balbir is in Australia,  his older brother jumped from joy.
