Thousands years ago, saint Kirtidhar came in this forest. When he was searching for the calm and silent place for meditation, he stopped at this place. His gaze fell on a giant round stone where a Antelope's bark was already spread on the stone. Saint Kirtidhar got very impressed by seeing the Antelope's bark and drew a boundary line of this area with the holy water from his wooden reliquary. This boundary line drawn by him is still present. The part of the forest which comes under this boundary line is free from all human eating and dangerous animals and is calm, pleasant. Saint Kirtidhar christened this area of the forest with the name, Mriga. From then, this name Mriga got popular. Saint Chaitnaya is of saint Kirtidhar's lineage. Saint Chaitnaya is saint Kirtidhar's 100th generation.
