Chapter 31: The Engagement
Avery’s pov: I took a look behind my shoulder to find dad standing with his left hand behind his back. He looked alright but a bit nervous and scared. I wrapped my arms around and gave him a hug. I was worried sick the entire morning searching for him. Where did he run off to? I wiped my face and got it cleared of all my tears. I then gave a angry look to my dad who looked confused. “Dad! Where did you go in the morning? Do you even know how worried I got? I was searching the entire mansion for you!” I poured my frustrations out. “Remember I told you that it was time for me to help you as a dad?” Dad asked.
