As I gazed out the window, the vibrant colors of the morning seemed to mock me, a stark contrast to the darkness that had taken up residence in my mind. My phone buzzed with a flurry of messages from Kian, but I resolutely ignored them. I had made up my mind to sever all ties with my past and start anew. The memories lingered, however, refusing to be extinguished by my determination. The laughter, the adventures, the late-night conversations – all still lingered, taunting me with what could never be again. I felt like a shipwreck survivor, clinging to the debris of a shattered relationship, unable to let go.
