Mallory stared at the woman for a moment. “In her travelling case. Your great-grandmother.” The words made no sense. Rodina chuckled. “She was cursed by a demon and turned into a harp. Kyla wouldn’t stuff a relative into a travelling case if they were in human form.” “Oh.” Mallory slowly shook her head. It made a little more sense, but not much. “How does that work? Is she still alive?” “She’ll live forever. Unless damaged beyond repair,” Rodina said. “I ask every traveller if they’ll take her to have the curse removed, but none are willing to risk the dangers. I have money to pay them, but still, no one is willing to accept.” “You have got to be kidding,” Brodie exclaimed. “We no sooner get rid of one quest than we have another.” Grinning, Mallory checked the quest. Her grin faded.
