Chapter Five Konrad did not waste any time interviewing Lady Lysak’s friends. According to Kavara Halim, she was not known to have had any particularly close associates, only a large acquaintance. Anything that was merely common knowledge about her, Mrs. Halim would already have heard. That left him with no real idea how to proceed. He delivered Mrs. Halim’s information about Zolin and Lysak to Alexander, who promised to chase down anything more that he could.
