"I'm sending Miss Buenaflor through, Sir Fiel."
"Thanks, Sandy." ani Fiel sa intercom, sitting very still behind the huge desk as the door to his office opened and kate walked in.
"Come in, Kate." he said evenly, at napatayo mula sa kanyang kinaupoan. "Shut the door behind you."
As if she wanted his secretary to hear what she was about to say to him, Kate thought. By that, she shut it.
"Sit down." He sat down himself and gestured to the chair in front of him, pero napapailing lang si Kate.
"I'll stand, if you don't mind. Kagagaling ko pa kasi sa airport at may jet lag pa ako." saad pa ni Kate. Pero ang totoo, naiilang kasi siyang umupo sa harap nito, at baka manginginig lamang siya. "I'm suprised that you agreed to see me."
