“Did you eat breakfast?” Meradith enquired of her daughter. “No, I have not eaten this morning. I find that the food in the palace is so plentful and rich that I am not at all hungry,” Eliza smiled. She did not mention that her stomach was doing back flips, a nervous excitement that had refused to leave her since she read the kings note left with her favourite flowers.
