Chapter Eighty-Six.
A stream of light from the early evening sun shone through the large stone arched windows of the great hall, illuminating the Ice Palace pack as they gathered to hear an announcement from the king. Murmurs filled the space, as speculation of what this important announcement was about filtered through the air. Some pack members were hopeful that the king had found his queen, solidifying his place upon the throne. Whilst others secretly hoped that the young king would abdicate his position, and someone with far greater experience than he would lead them. A small amount of the pack whispered that their King had been in Neutraliss and believed he returned with news of an alliance with one of the other kingdoms, to help defend them if the dragon’s attacked.
