Kyle's POV:
"So how did it went, bro?" Bryan was standing next to me the second she left.
"Better then before, I guess. I mean, she wasn't running." I laughed a little.
"That's my boy! You owe me for this one." Bryan laughed. And I did too, at least till I stepped out of the classroom. Then I noticed Alice standing there and talking with Tracy and Vivienne. F*ck my life.
Tracy talking about their basketball game before, making it all about herself.
"Kyle, here you are." as soon as Vivienne saw me, she was right next to me hugging me. Alice was standing there, looking at us. And I seriously had no clue, what was going on in her head. Hopefully she wouldn't get the wrong expression.
"What's up, Vivienne?" I took one step back.
"Nothing much, just making some new friends. Since the old ones don't care about me anymore."
Bryan was clearly enjoying it, but I was just super annoyed.
"We are still friends. I just needed some space." I said.
"Okay, you had it. Now you have to make it up to me. We are planning first meeting in woods this weekend. You have to be there. No excuses."
"Maybe next time." I said.
The awkward silence was making me really uncomfortable.
"Maybe we should make it just for girls, Viv." Tracy was ready to save the situation. "You should definitely come too, Alice."
Now, I was interested.
"I don't know. Can I take Stella with me?" she asked.
"You don't know? You should be really glad to have this opportunity. Not everyone is invited. With Stella...I don't really care about her." Vivienne was making it clear. She was the queen. Everyone else needed to obey.
I could see Alice didn't like that at all, for second I thought she will pick a fight for it. But then she didn't, she just took a deep breath and let it be: "Alright. We'll be there." I really had no idea what was she thinking.
Immediately, I looked at Bryan. He knew what to do: "Tracy, you wouldn't really let me hanging. Come on. Don't let Kyle ruin it for me too."
And just like that, Tracy was interested: "That's on you, Bryan. If you wanna come, you know what to do."
Bryan smiled: "We'll be there."
"Right answer." Vivienne said tossing her blonde hair over her shoulder. Then she winked at me and left. Alice didn't wait much longer and as usually disappeared as well.
I looked at Bryan, he was waiting for my reaction.
"Who's the best?" he said with open arms looking like the biggest savior.
Now I had to roll my eyes. "Thank you, brother."
Alice's POV:
I was this close to slapping that b*tch for talking about Stella as if she was trash. Stella was so much better than these wannabee's will ever be. But Stella wanted to have friends. And I could tell she needed more than just broken piece like me. And maybe I was just little bit curious about these people. How they live here and what they do for fun. It's not like he would be there anyway, right?
"Tracy, you wouldn't really let me hanging. Come on. Don't let Kyle ruin it for me too."
Stupid Bryan. Obviously thinking only about his chances with Tracy.
And she obviously buying it: "That's on you, Bryan. If you wanna come, you know what to do."
And I'm f*cked.
"We'll be there." just amazing.
This was my signal to finally go. I really needed to hide in my room. And think what the hell was I going to do.
As soon as I walked in, I was overwhelmed by Stella's questions: "OMG! You have to tell me everything. These two hours were torture. What happened? Tell me every single detail."
This day was just never-ending: "What are you talking about?"
"About Kyle Cohan of course. What are you thinking about?"
"Obviously not about him." I said and started to unpack my bag. "There is still a lot of assignments I missed. Can you help me with that? I missed whole month and it really shows." Hopefully she will let me be.
"Are you or are you not member of Group 107?" Or not.
"I am." Okay, I have to tell her something.
She sat on her bed, crossed her legs and waited. She won and she knew it.
I sit on my bed right opposite her: "He was just asking me who I am. Shown me the way to dressing room."
"That's not all. Come on. Continue." How did she knew?
"Then he was sitting next to me during art class. So we talked a little. And then you and I got invited by Tracy and Vivienne to their meeting or party or whatever. I didn't really understood what they were talking about." I hoped this would catch her attention. And it worked perfectly:
"WHAT?! Are you kidding me?" she stood up and started walking all around the room.
"No, this weekend, they are planning something."
"And she invited me too?" she was over the moon. I couldn't break it to her.
"She asked me and I asked if I can take you with me and she agreed."
"They never invited me anywhere. And I was here for the whole last year." she was thrilled. "Thank you so much for this."
"What were you doing last year then?" I asked.
And her good mood was over. She stayed quiet for a while: "I didn't really had friends here before."
"But why? You are such a smiley girl." I really didn't understand it.
She sat down again: "You know, my last roommate was older then me. Her name was Charlotte. She was senior, so thankfully she left, but before she did, she used to make fun of me with her friends. She was partying all the time even in our room and I was staying in library a lot. They used to make pranks at me and whole school thought it was really funny. But what is funny about stealing your roommates stuff and hiding them in the worst possible places? Like boys dressing rooms or janitor's closet."
"I'm really sorry, Stella."
"That's okay, it wasn't so bad, but who would want to be my friend when I was joke for everybody."
"But why did she choose you? Just because you were her roommate?" That didn't make sense.
"Her pack and my pack are really near to each other. And there is rivalry between them. These jokes are pretty normal back home between bigger groups. Plus our pack is smaller. I think they would attack us if we wouldn't have such a good alliances."
"Did you ever tell anyone? Here or back home?" poor girl.
"I'm not a snitch. And back home, it would just get even messier between our packs. Those were just jokes." she said and smiled sadly. "And now I have new great roommate. So I don't wanna think about it again. Some things are just better left in past, that's where they belong." Couldn't agree more with that.
"I agree with her, too. We should think about our future." Of course, Ama needed to take this opportunity.
"Our future is far away from this place."
"Or maybe just few doors away." my wolf could be so annoying sometimes.
"Look, I'm really glad you are back. But I'm not negotiating about this again."
"You never did. But I'm not letting you mess up our lives."
I shouldn't have talked to him at all. I have to be more careful next time. Ama obviously didn't wanted to let it be.
