But inside my head…
Nothing was silent.

I could feel everything at once.
Ravi was still standing there.
Frozen.
Looking at the laptop.
Karthik’s face was still on the screen.

I understood something.
That was not just a video.
I slowly stepped forward.
Ravi looked at me.
“What are you doing?” he asked.
I didn’t answer.
Because now…
I knew what I had to do.
I sat in front of the laptop.
My fingers moved again.
Automatically.
The system opened.
Same dark screen.
Same red text.
ACCESS GRANTED
Ravi came closer.
“Stop it,” he said.
But his voice had fear now.
Real fear.
I turned and looked at him.
“You wanted control, right?” I said.
He didn’t reply.
I smiled slightly.
“This is control.”
I opened the main system.
All the names appeared again.
Powerful people.
Secrets.
Everything.
Then I clicked one option.
“Execute Control Protocol”
Ravi shouted—
“NO!”
But it was too late.
I pressed enter.
Suddenly—
All the screens started changing.
Messages sending.
Calls connecting.
Data transferring.
Every person in that list…
Was getting exposed.
Not just evidence.
Live.
Confessions.
Accounts.
Hidden records.
Everything.
Ravi tried to stop me.
But before he could reach—
The lights flickered again.
And went off.
Darkness.
But this time…
I wasn’t scared.
Because I knew…
He was here.
Karthik.
Not just memory.
Not just video.
Something more.
The laptop screen turned on again.
His face appeared.
Calm.
Peaceful.
"You finally understood," he said.
I didn’t speak.
But inside…
I felt it.
He was right.
"This was never about revenge," he continued.
"It was about ending everything."
Ravi shouted in the dark—
“WHO ARE YOU TALKING TO?!”
But I ignored him.
Because I knew…
He couldn’t see.
Karthik looked at me.
"You are the final key," he said.
"Only you can start it… and only you can stop it."
My heart became heavy.
Stop it?
Why stop?
All of them deserve this.
Ravi.
Others.
Everyone.
Karthik’s voice became soft.
"If you continue… it won’t stop with them."
Silence.
"It will destroy everything."
My hands became cold.
I looked at the screen.
System was still running.
More data going out.
More names.
More secrets.
This was bigger than I thought.
Not just criminals.
Everyone connected.
Innocent people too.
Families.
Lives.
Everything would collapse.
I closed my eyes.
My father’s face came to my mind.
Karthik’s face.
Their sacrifice.
This was not what they wanted.
Slowly…
I placed my hand on the keyboard.
Ravi shouted—
“DON’T STOP!”
I opened my eyes.
Looked at him.
“You lost,” I said.
And typed one command.
“SHUTDOWN PROTOCOL”
Enter.
System stopped.
Everything froze.
Silence.
Complete silence.
Ravi fell to his knees.
“No… no… you don’t know what you did…” he said.
I looked at him.
“I know exactly what I did.”
Police sirens were heard outside.
Getting closer.
Ravi looked shocked.
I smiled slightly.
“You thought only you were watching?” I said.
I lifted my phone.
Live stream was on.
Everything was recorded.
Everything was sent.
But only what needed to be shown.
Ravi understood.
Too late.
Police broke the door.
Lights came back.
Ravi and his men were arrested.
Everything ended.
Or at least…
That’s what I thought.
Later that night…
I was sitting alone.
Quiet.
Finally peaceful.
Then…
My phone vibrated.
My heart skipped.
I slowly checked.
New email.
From: Karthik
My hands froze.
I opened it.
“You did the right thing.”
I smiled slightly.
Tears came.
But there was one more line.
“But this is not the end.”
My smile disappeared.
I looked at the screen.
Last message appeared.
“Because… I was not the only one who knew.”
My heart stopped.
I slowly looked up.
At the dark room.
And for a second…
I felt like…
Someone else was watching.
