*Brie POV* When I woke up this morning, I had nearly forgotten that Madison had come home with us last night. I was startled when I saw her sitting in one of my chairs staring out the window. “Madison, are you alright?” I asked. She turned to face me, and wiped away her tears. She looked exhausted, and like the weight of the world was on her shoulders. “I’ll be alright, Brie. I’m sorry if I woke you,” she said softly, as she ran her hand through her dark hair. “You didn’t wake me, girl. Would you like to talk? I know you don’t know me from the next girl, but I’m a great listener, and a good friend,” I explained. When she got off the chair and moved towards my bed, I realized just how small she was.
