So much has happened over the past couple of weeks that I haven’t had time to really process it. Now that things were in position to slow down for a while, I needed to take the time to really figure out my life.
Life without my parents has been different. I still pick up the phone to call my mom, and then I have to face the reality all over again that she’s gone. Then the memory of why she was gone hits me like a ton of bricks.
I thank God every day for Scott. He has been there for me every step of the way, and doesn’t complain when I cry and spill my heart out to him. I’ve never been around a man who would do that for me. Not even my dad.
