Mia’s Point of View
A soft touch on my sore shoulder woke me up. The tingle of sensations was enough for me to know the person. Instantly, I opened my eyes and got up. He was there, just a few inches away.
“Xavier!” I exclaimed.
“Hush! Does it hurt?” He whispered. His eyes were drawn in sadness. I felt a little pressure on my shoulder. Closing my eyes, I flinched slightly. Suddenly all the pain was gone.
I opened my eyes again, slowly. He was the guy I knew. Always there to help me, to save me from trouble.
“You are back,” I tried hard to hold back my tears.
He slowly removed his hand, leaving a coldness behind, “but I shouldn’t be here, Mianette. I can only hurt you, and nothing else.”
