CHAPTER 5

"Manna, Xenia asked me to follow her to distribute some fruits to the fellow pack commoners. I would be one way " Aria said as she looked at Manna who seemed to be lost in thoughts.

She tapped her twice as manna jolted into reality while glaring at Aria and the fruit baskets which she had dropped on the floor.

"Who are those for ", manna asked and Aria chuckled.

" That's what I was saying manna, Xenia asked me to follow her to the pack house to distribute this fruit. Aria said as she smiled at Manna who still put on her worried face.

" I'm suspicious of Xenia I don't think you should go ", manna suggested as Aria smiled. She moved closer to her as she rested on her shoulders.

"Don't worry about it, nothing is gonna happen . Nothing!, I would be totally fine ". Aria said as she looked at Manna while putting on a beautiful smile like always.

" You definitely know how Xenia is, you know how obsessed she is with Muller, I don't want you to be hurt, I have watched her while she grew up, Xenia is not the type to easily give up. She always wants revenge whenever she is hurt and I can't count how many times she has been hurt seeing you and Muller together ". Manna said as she looked at Aria whose countenance had changed all of a sudden.

" I'm sorry if I spoiled your countenance but if you still want to go you can ", manna said as Aria waved her goodbye. She had taken none of manna's word with gravity, she took them all with levity.

She looked around and spotted Xenia who looked at her with a sly smile, they both exchanged pleasantries as she looked around while staring at nothing in particular.

They had gotten to the pack house already, the pack house is like a place where the commoner's wolf stayed because it was very large and vast with large sections for each family.

The door opened and a blond lady stood by the door, she welcomed them both in as she stared at Aria disgustingly which she didn't really notice.

" Should I say welcome future Luna or welcome to the rejected mate ", A hysterical laughter spread among the pack and everyone burst into laughter.

Aria felt a flush of embarrassment through her face as she stared at all of them, she had no idea about what to do.

" I'm sorry, I had no idea that I wasn't welcome here", she said as she made her way towards the door.

Someone blocked her way and it was nobody but Xenia.

" Aria doesn't mind their teasing, that's how they are, we have unfinished business to do here", she said as she smiled mischievously while dragging Aria by her hand.

" Sit let's serve you some delicious porridge ", a woman said and Aria politely refused.

" Are you too big to eat with us or is this place too disgusting for her majesty? " the woman questioned.

She was always called her majesty before she became the alpha's mate because whether they all liked it or not she was part of the royal bloodline which Xenia really hated with passion. She hated the fact that she was part of the royal bloodline and her father was the late alpha's stepbrother.

However, it wasn't abominable in the pack for stepbrother's children to be mated.

Aria took the porridge and ate a spoonful, when she saw that it tasted good she had another spoon and at the third spoon, she felt her throat was on fire, her tongue had this kind of rash burning sensation that she had never felt before.

" Water, water "! She shouted as no one came to her aid, absolutely no one, she ran as she could hear the sounds of echoing laughter.

She should have listened to manna, she should have and this was one terrible reversible mistake she had made.

It all went black as she blanked out ………..

" What's it ", muller said as he questioned Aiden his inner wolf.

He immediately recognized what was wrong as he found Aria in a blank mood as the commoners surrounded her while they laughed scornfully at her.

" How dare you all to disappoint the royal blood like this ", he thundered as the commoners fell to their feet in fear of the alpha except Xenia who was standing while looking at him squarely.

" Xenia you would pay for this, which you have done, how would you do this ?", he said as he spoke to her, meaning every word that came through his mouth.

He picked her up from the ground as he took her back to the palace. , " Xenia, your punishment is waiting for you to meet me at the palace ". He said as he left the topic area.

" Manna spotted her as tears streamed down her face, oh my daughter how did she turn since red and pale like this ", manna said as she looked at Aria who looked so freckled while lying on the bed.

" I have called the doctor and she will be here in a few minutes ", Muller said coldly as he turned to Aria who was still unconscious.

The doctor had examined her as she looked at her.

Alpha I have good news, she is fine. It is just that she was given too much Caroline pepper in her food which excessively burned her tongue and affected her throat. She won't be able to talk for the next 3 days, so make sure to feed her bland food and show some love ".

The doctor said as she took her leave, she had said whatever she wanted to and the next was for both of them to act on it.

Manna stared at Muller like it was all his fault, and then she turned her gaze to Aria.

" Manna what's with the look, I don't like the face you are giving me, it isn't funny ", Muller said while looking at the woman before him.

She stood quiet as she stared at Aria, "Oh dear child, I don't know what condition you are in right now but you're gonna be fine ", she thought inwardly.
