Saving the Prince

“GET HIM!!!” The Beta yelled as I ran as fast as the wind through the forest, my feet finding the right path as my senses heightened. Even with a bag full of herbs and medicine, I am faster than them.

Twigs snapping all around me had a smile come to my face as I realize they had set a trap, but I was not easily caught.

As my friends had put it before, I had ninja skills as I hopped from one tree to another, using my speed to propel me till I was able to start hopping from tree to tree and branch to branch never slowing down, because if I did, I would lose my steps and fall.

For some reason since I moved closer to the Royal pack, my wolf has become stronger. We have incredible speed, strength, and our senses are more heightened than before. Lately I have been feeling tingly feelings all over. My wolf keeps saying we will be powerful when we meet our true mate. I think she has lost her mind and forgot about Nathan. Jeez!

“Where did he go?” Their voices were frantic as some shifted to wolf to catch my scent. I chuckled and stopped on a big tree that hid me well in the night sky. I took out a bar of white chocolate as I watched them, taking the time to enjoy and savor the sweet treat! I love white chocolate!!!

“BETA, rouges are at our territory borders.” I froze. Everyone knew that rogues were bad news. They reek of death and even kill each other just for the blood lust. They are the ones who lost all hope and have nothing to live for. At least I was living to be free and be myself.

That is what keeps my soul intact and made it easy for me to blend in.

“Where are they at?” The Beta asked. I waited needing to know what path to take home.

“The north border” The warrior said.

My blood froze. My home is just a few yards away from that border. I did not wait for them to move as I rushed that way myself, taking a longer path so that IO could drop the bad at my home and grab my weapons. I took off my back clothes and put on my hunting and tracking gear that used to belong to my mother. It was a ninja suit that only high ranked hunters and trackers used. These are the high ranked warriors.

I sniffed the air, using the scarf to cover the lower half of my face as the rogue stench made me woozy. I took off, taking the trees, the sounds of growling filling the air.

It turned out I was the first to arrive at the scene as I flipped off the last branch and landed on the rouges, the place of my landing breaking the rogues spine and killing him.

“One down, fourteen to go.” I say. But one of the wolves I thought was a rogue went flying, his big form slamming into a tree and distracting me. His wolf is huge and was like living fire as mine is like living ice. He was bigger than my wolf which is saying a lot because my wolf was bigger than the Alpha’s, even bigger than Nathan. My heart clenched at the thought of the man who had rejected me. A few more months of this to go before I can be rid of those feelings.

I felt something tackle me in my distracted state sending me flying towards the wolf. But my training made me able to twist my body and land gracefully just in front of him.

I had gotten the same abilities like my mom and become the top tracker and hunter in the pack. I also had my fathers brain. I can map out plans of attacks and strategies all day. I still did not have the respect of those my age and my siblings.

The wolf behind me growled and I smelt his blood. Weird, it smells kinda sweet.

“I am here to help.” My voice rings clear and he stops.

“How many have you killed?” I asked and he started to growl, but this time to answer me, a pause between each growl.

“17, Nice!” I smirk and look at the remaining 9 I have to kill. Taking in the way they had us backed against the trees and draped. They would be easy to kill.

“You need to rest, so let me get these.” I catch him nod and I smile under my scarf, taking out my daggers and moving fast. I took out 3 of them with one bade and then another three simultaneously. Now I have 3 more to go.

I took out the closest wolf, round house kicking him to his friend while slitting his throat., moving to snap his distracted friends neck.

The last one was as big as me and I took the time to study him. It has been twenty minutes and the back up could finally be heard. I had to kill the last wolf quick. I was once again rammed in from behind and with little space to turn, I hit the tree hard. The wolf who was healing looked at me and whimpered, I smiled and stood shakily.

“I am fine.” I reassure, standing straight up.

I turned to look at the last wolf again. He would be trouble and I knew I had to fight him in wolf form If I wanted to kill him quickly. So, I shifted, the usual snapping and cracking as my body became a wolf and my ice like fur shown in the moonlight.

The Fire wolf growled, now recognizing me as the notorious ICE and I sighed. Now was not the time to deal with him. The rogue was my main priority. I turned to face the wolf, moving quickly before the wold could regain himself after he tried to ram me and ending up missing.

I waited for him to lunged at me again but this time I went of the jugular and bit down ripping out his throat. I clenched down harder, planting my feet dead and I instantly felt sick. He fell at my feet dead but the blood was so gross.

I gathered my things as the howls of other wolves came from behind us. Back up was here. I shift back. The beauty of my wold is that for some reason I can shift and never rip my clothes.

With a bow and a nod to the Fire wolf, I turn and cross the border. I was going to head home but instead I wanted to watch what happens next.

The wolf has shifted to show a very hot, sexy, handsome man. Way hotter than anyone from my old pack even Nathan, and he was fully naked. Weird that I feel some kind of stirring deep down by looking at him. I don’t even understand why I bowed to him. My wolf is being super weird.

Other wolves in both human and wolf form showed up as the fire wolf just stared at where my dagger was.

“Alpha, are you ok? We came as fast as we could.” The beta said.

“So the man I saved was the Alpha? OMG, the Alpha Prince?” I whispered to myself.

I am fine, ICE saved me. She was amazing.” His voice came deep and authoritative, but he was reassuring them.

A silence filled the forest as his wolves looked around at the way the wolves were killed.

“She? Are you sure it’s a she?” The beta asked.

“She clearly had breast and a skinny waist.” The prince said with a hint of a dare for some i***t to oppose him.

“She must have hid her gender pretty well” The Gamma said. Oh how much I miss my friends.

“She is also an elite tracker and hunter. That means she is an elite warrior. What ever made her a lone wolf must have been tragic, but she has morals and she kept them. She even bowed to me before she left.” The Prince said with a hint of a smile on his lips.

Someone passed him some track pants and he put them on, turning to look at the dagger, my mothers dagger one last time.

“Should we take it?” The gamma asked.

“No let her come back for it. She saved my life while you all took your sweet time.” They all left and I also left and decided to come back.

It’s weird but when I was younger my mother gave me a necklace and told me if I ever met a wolf that looked like fire, I have to give this to him. I quickly went home and came back within 15 minutes. I drop the necklace and try to get my dagger but then I heard someone coming so I went back up to the tree that I was previously on and waited.

I watched as the Alpha slowly made his way to the tree and saw the dagger was still there. He left piece of paper and a box. I had brought my own gift. It was a necklace with a flame and ice. I had left it under the dagger. As he sees the gift he opens it. It was like he was expecting it. Weird. He chuckled and left, giving me the time to grab the box, note, and dagger and headed home. I will open the box and read the note when I get home.

That was the last time I was going to see the fire wolf. Or so I thought. My world just completly changed.
