Rejected then Royally Loved

Rejection

I make my way down to the back garden where the party will be held. The Alpha and Luna were sitting in the living room. The called me over and asked me to have a seat. They are sitting on the loveseat and I sat across the coffee table on the sofa. The Alpha slides an envelope towards me and I look at it suspiciously.

“It’s your birthday gift, not a bomb.” The Luna says and I couldn’t help but laugh as I open the envelope and taking the card out.

“Thanks” I say happily, ripping open the paper and reading the card. I smiled at the check and frowned. It was One million dollars, not the five hundred thousand we had planned, and another one hundred thousand in cash.

“1.1 Mil?” I asked and got a warm smile from both of them.

“That is from us” The Alpha says. Then he gets up goes over to the bookshelf and takes out a box. “This is from your parents. You are eighteen now, well in about 45 minutes.” He laughed and handed me the box.

Inside the box was a gorgeous diamond and white gold locket in the shape of the moon, and the diamond in shape of a white wolf. The earrings were the same. There was also a card and I read it carefully.

In case anything happens to us, the Alpha and Luna had offered to take care of you and promise to give you this gift on your eighteen birthday. Our lawyer held onto the money that was left to you and the alpha will transfer it to any account that you desire. As well as the pendant that holds the picture of you as a baby as well as us three the day you were born. We also leave you the mustang convertible and all of our jewelry as well as the bonds that are probably collecting dust in the alphas desk.

Not because you are our daughter but because the moment you were born white light covered the whole room. Everyone was shocked. The Moon Goddess spoke to us that day. I read and reread the letter that was in my parents handwriting. It was clear that they took turns to write and I loved it even more.

“How much did they leave me?” I asked.

“Over 800 Million” I nod and carefully put the note in the box. The alpha took the box and told me he will leave it in his office for now.

“Let’s get to your party shall we” The luna says as she gives me a hug.

As we made way to the back garden, everyone started saying happy birthday. I started thanking everyone as I made my way through the crowd towards the barbecue where the Beta stood. He offered me some food and I of course took it. I love food. Can you blame me?

He tells me happy birthday and I hug him and say thank you. He is the closest thing I had to being an uncle and his mate an aunt. They have a daughter who I babysit and love her to death. She is feisty and spunky. His mate comes around gives me a bag with my gift. When I open my gift it is a set of tracker gear and lots of knives. A gift after my own heart. I squeal and hug both of them. They are the best.

I make my way over to the table where my friends are. They are here from the royal pack and I love them for that. Everyone started talking about how glad they were that finals were done and school will be over in a week. This party was both one to celebrate me and two to let loose.

It was now officially my birthday since it is midnight. Pack members came to say happy birthday and give me a gift. I was glad for the card board box that the alpha and luna had bought for me to put my gifts in. I looked up at the sky and saw that the moon was high up and full.

It was now time to cut the cake. The beta picked me up and placed me on his shoulders like he does with his daughter and I could not stop laughing. I haven’t enjoyed a birthday so much. I clutch the betas hair while laughing and yelling at him not to drop me. He laughs and says I wont.

Slowly we make our way to the center with my friends trailing behind me. As we reached the middle, a huge cake can be seen and I could see why the beta had to put me on his shoulders. The cake was so high with the typical happy birthday and my name written on it. The cake had a huge candle on top that said eighteen. I smiled. Everyone started singing happy birthday, even the jock crowd, they even did the usual how old are you now song and at eighteen I blew out my candle, the clearing erupting in cheers. I got to cut my piece before the beta put me down, causing me to stumble into someone.

MATE

The word ran through my head and then I smelled the most intoxicating scent of vanilla spice and sparks running through the area where he was holding me to not fall. I turn around and my eyes widen as I turn to look at who I was destined to be with, meeting the shocked face of Nathan.

“You’re my-“ I started but was cut off.

“Mate? Now why would I want to be mates with a sniveling i***t like you. Give me a good reason why I would want to be your mate, you are nothing more then a stupid b***h who got her parents killed!” He yelled. My heart broke in a million pieces.

“You were the one who steered me to that cave so it is also your fault.” I screamed out. I watched as his face contorts with rage.

“I Nathan Blue reject you as my mate forever!” He sneers at me , his face inches from mine. I snapped, grabbed Nathan and threw him into the cake in front of everyone. Rejection is supposed to hurt but for some reason my wolf is not even upset. She is pissed. She does not really like Nathan. Which is weird because growing up she has always defended him. Now she wants nothing to do with him. She just said it is all part of the plan.

“Get this straight. I Emma Black reject you as my mate as well as anyone who has treated me like a worthless heap of trash and a slave when the alpha and the top four had to go deal with pack business. I would never want to be mated to my bully. I vow to become the greatest wolf that you would all regret treating me the way you did.” With that I take my box of goodies that the people who cared about me the most gave me and stormed away.

I could hear the Alpha yelling at his son and calling him an i***t as the wolves make a path for me, getting out of my way. Rejected takes six full moons to complete. Because today is the full moon I only have five more full moons before the bond officially breaks. At least now I wont be able to feel any betrayal pains. I headed to the shed and opened the doors wide, making room for my convertible as I placed the box in the back seat. I had plenty of money and it was time for me to start anew.

I mindlink the Alpha, Luna, Beta couple, and texted my friends from the royal pack. Within fifteen minutes they were at the shed. The alpha must of known because he brought the box and enveloped with him. He also brought a bag of clothes and the luna brought a bag of toiletries and the beta female brought medicines In case of emergencies. Especially heat medicine. They all told me they know that I am leaving but to always stay in contact and protect herself because being a rogue is not easy sometimes. My friends wanted me to go to the royal pack with them but I said I needed to find myself and learn to be independent. We all hugged and the I got into the car.

I drove away from the only place I knew, the air whipping at my face since I had the top down. “Goodbye” was the last thing I sent though the whole pack. I was a rogue now, it was time I started caring about myself.
