Spending Some Time

“The full moon is in 2 days. You have to mate and mark each other on the full moon.” My mother says

You have got to be kidding me. Okay I got to days to basically get to know my mate before I screw him. How am I going to resist this handsome sexy greek god.

“If you don’t you both will lose your abilities and your wolves. You will also not come into your powers. You will have two days to get to know each other and prepare everyone because you will both be coming here for a few days maybe a week. You will both be going through some changes and this is the best place to make sure everyone is safe.” She says.

“So why do I need guardians and Nathan? I know we never had any romantic feelings for each other but I always loved him as a brother. Even when I hated him.” I say

“We will have that discussion with your father when you guys come back.” My mom says

“I get to see daddy?” I exclaimed

“Of course you’ll see me princess. I would never stay away from you.” I heard my dad’s voice come from behind me. I run to my father and hugged him so tight. I missed him too. I am a blubbering mess now.

“Hi, princess, I am so sorry I couldn’t be there to protect you from everything you went through. Now that we were always watching over you. We love you so much. Also don’t be too hard on Nathan and your brothers. The guilt is literally eating away at them and they are struggling severely because of your departure.” My dad says as looks at me in eyes and hold my face with both hands like he used to.

“I don’t know if I can daddy. They hurt me so much. I don’t know if I can forgive them. I don’t know if I can forgive Nathan after everything.” I say

“Princess, if you let hate in your heart, nothing is going to work out. Forgiveness is not for them but it is for you. It will also help them to begin to heal as well as yourself. They never stopped loving you. They just could not face their guilt, fear, or shame. They did not know how to deal with those emotions.” He says

“I will think about it.” I say.

“So you are my father in law?” Lucas says as he makes his way over to my father and they hug.

“You two know each other?” I say as I watched them laugh.

“We are his godparents.” My mother says.

“Did you know who she was or who I am?” I asked Lucas.

“Not when we first met, but after you left me the necklace, I had a meeting with My parents their betas, and gammas, as well as my own. My father had told me if someone gave me a necklace like this that I have to call a meeting. That’s when I found out, well have the story” He says with a laugh at the end.

“Now you guys have to get going, even though you have been here for a few hours, time moves slower here, so it has been 6 hours back home. I love you both and we will see you in a couple of days.” My mother says

We all hug each other and then Lucas hugs me from behind. My mother touched our foreheads and a bright white light seem to explode around us and we were back in from of the lake.

“So, would you like to have some white chocolate macadamia nut cheesecake back at my place. We can get to know each other better and talk about all this.” I asked Lucas

“I would love too. But if you promise me to join the Royal Pack and meet my parents and apparently your uncle tomorrow.” He responds

“I will join your pack. I am scared that my best friends will hate me because I was ICE and I really gave them a run for their money. Plus, I ghosted them after I left my pack and never called them or even sent a text.” I say scared of what they will do when they see me.

“Actually, they don’t know its you yet, but they wanted ICE to be the new Trainer for the warriors, hunters, and trackers. That’s why I wanted to meet you today. Well one of the reasons. I could not get you out of my head. I never felt like that before.” He says

“It was the same for me. It was so weird. I thought I should not be feeling like this since my mate bond had not completely broke yet. But now everything made sense. Now I also know why my wolf has been cryptic with me since we left the pack.” I respond

“So would you consider training my people? You are too good. You had all my warriors beat. That has never happened. Even I could not catch you.”

“Let’s talk about it at my house and I will tell you what I think.” I respond.

He took my hand and we walked to my house. We stoped just as it came into view, his face in awe, who wouldn’t be impressed.

The house was huge. The property had a silver fence running the perimeter of it as well as all of the land I own. The building was in itself a mansion that was made to look like it belonged in the woods with most of the walls glass panels to allow in as much as possible.

The first floor was open concept with everything in view and I had designed it so that the dining area was to the left of the kitchen since it was farthest from the window, the living room style being the closest to the wall of windows to allow in more light during the day, but a small powder room was by the front entrance as was the door to the garage and the mud room that led to my greenhouse.

The upstairs help 9 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom and small walk in closet, a library and study area with more floor to ceiling windows on the wall facing the sun, one master bedroom with an ensuite that had a jacuzzi big enough for 4, a shower, a walk in closet big enough to for two.

The basement had been worked on and there was a workout room, a storage are for food, and a walk in fridge.

The patio had a large gazebo over it with furniture I had made from fallen trees. But my pride and joy was my greenhouse that was half the size of the house.

“For being a lone rogue for the last 2 months you have done well for yourself“ Lucas says

“Thanks” I smile cheerily. I push the iron gate open since it was the only exit and entrance to my property and led him inside my house where he took everything in.

“Wow” I laugh at his expression as I cut the Cheesecake and place a piece onto the plates before sitting down at the breakfast bar that was beside the window, giving me a view of my pool that blended into nature.

He joined me and we ate the cake as we talked, laughing, and for once having the greatest time since my parents death.

We end up going over to the living room and sitting on the couch. We continue to talk about our past and our life now. I learned many things about Lucas. He told me how he could never really be himself with anyone as he always felt he had to never show his real feelings and emotions.

I told him every detail of everything I went through. In details just like he did with me. He has only ever been with one person and that was Natalia, his fake mate basically. I told him I have never been with anyone.

We talked about my friendships with his beta and gamma pair. He told me that they always talked about you and were worried for her since they were there at her party. He does know how the rejection happened because they told him due to their worry.

We talked about how our day will go when we go to his pack tomorrow. Surprisingly, his pack house is about 15 minutes from here in a car and 5 minutes in wolf form. I express that I don’t want to move out of my house. I spent so much time getting this to be perfect. He agreed and said he was going to build a home for him and his mate once they mated. He said he would be okay with living here with me.

We talked about added my land to the backlands. The land will remain mine, but it will be protected. It’s like everything was meant to happen. This might be while my wold was set on this land. She felt the connection to her true mate.

As we have been talking, I realized that our bond is getting stronger. I feel stronger. I have never felt this level of honesty. We shared everything. We left nothing out. I could also feel that he was being truthful. I look at the time and realize that we have been talking for most of the night and it is almost six am. We decided to go to bed and I asked Lucas to stay so he would not have to come back. We lay in bed just cuddling and fall asleep.

Tomorrow to face my friends. This will be rough.
