Facing My Friends

We wake up about 9 am. We did not sleep much but I have never felt more refreshed. Maybe it has to do with the mate bond.

I look over at my mate and just stare at him. Talking to him all night was the best thing we did. It established trust and transparency. It made me feel secure and loved. I felt like I was finally accepted.

“Good Morning Love” Lucas says

“Good Morning” I respond

He inches closer to my face and plants a kiss on my lips. The kiss sent sparks all over my body. It was quick and no tongue, but I felt like he was pouring his love for me into the kiss like I pour mine.

“We should get up, shower, and then eat some breakfast before we go to the pack house.” I say to him.

I feel so nervous about meeting his parents, and ranking members, but more than anything I am scared to see my friends again.

“I feel you are nervous and scared. Talk to me princess.” Lucas says as he holds me in his arms

“I am just nervous to meet your parents and the ranking members, but scared at how my friends will react.” I say

“Trust me, they will probably knock you down while trying to hug you. And, they may be mad at you about being ICE, but you can always train us and make us better and they can forgive you.” He says while smiling slyly.

“I see what you are trying to do. But yes, I will help with training.” I say

He picks me up from the bed and spins me around and smiles at me.

“Thank you” He says

“You’re welcome, let’s get ready.” I say

After about an hour, we were on our way to the pack house. We took my car. I had a jeep and it was white. It was beautiful with blacked out windows. We pull up to the pack house and I took a deep breath.

All of the sudden as we are still in the car, I see people come out of the pack house. They line up and I already know this is the ranking members. I also see my friends. Lucas looks over at me and places a kiss on my forehead and gets out of the car. He comes around and opens the door for me.

I step out of the car and place my hand on Lucas. We walk up the the members.

“Everyone, I would like you to meet my mate, Emma.” Lucas says.

“ARE YOU KIDDING ME! WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN? WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO LOOK FOR YOU AND CONTACT YOU!” I hear the beta yell at me.

“Im sorry. I needed time.” I say

All of the sudden all four of them are running to me and knock me down as they were trying to hug me. Goddess I loved them.

“We can never stay mad at you. We just missed you and were worried. We wanted you to come here. Where have you been? What have you been doing? You look good.” The beta female says.

The beta couple were Alex and Lily and the Gamma couple were Justin and Melissa. I knew I had to tell them but maybe not in the open.

“We can talk about that in Lucas’s office. There is a lot that you need to know.” I say

“Well, I am glad to finally meet you Emma. You look just like your mother. I am Lucas’s mother, and I was your mother’s best friend.” The Luna says.

“I am also glad to meet you. I am Lucas’s father. I was also your mothers best friend.” The Alpha king says.

“I think we need to go inside and go to the conference room so we can all talk.” The Beta says.

We all start heading inside the packhouse. It is absolutely beautiful. Lucas told me that they have rooms here for the ranking members, but that they also all have their own houses. They stay here when they have late meetings or visiting alphas.

I loved how everything in the packhorse was sleek, modern, but with that country look. It felt warm and homey. I honestly feel like I just walked in on one of those house in modern living or country living. It is beautiful. We passed the kitchen and it looked like a kitchen in a restaurant except that it had a huge island in the middle where people can sit and snack. The dinning room could fit over 500 people. They had buffet stands across one of the walls as well as drink dispensers. The living room had a huge sectional that looks like it can fit about 30 people. It was right in front of the fireplace, and on the mantle was a huge TV.

We head into the conference room since there are many of us. There was a round rectangular table and about 30 chairs around it. There were also chairs along the walls. Everyone came in and started to get settled. On one side you had the Alpha Kings ranked members and on the other side we had the Princes Rank members. I sat next to my mate.

I know this is not the time but I have been waiting to do this for a long time. I look over to my best friends and smile.

“Why are you giving us that smile. I know that smile, it is the devious smile. Alright ninja spy what are you up too?” Fitz asked

“Ninja Spy?” My mate asked

“So when we were at school, I would tell them that I had mad skills, you know because I know how good I am. SO I would always sneak up on them or try to scare them. Always got them and they never heard me coming. It was hilarious because sometimes they would squeal like girls.” I laughed.

“Yeah, she did all the time. Now that you are mated I hope she does that to you, see how you like it. I don’t know how she does it. We can never hear or smell her. She is so good it is creepy. But we always told her she would never beat us in combat or weapons but she would just scoff. I am waiting for the day I can beat her.” Fitz says.

“I am waiting for the day I can get her back.” Liv says.

My mate looks over at me because he is the only one that knows that I am ICE. He just bust out laughing. I can feel his emotions. He is really amused by all this. I am too though. So I join him.

“What is so funny?” The beta couple says at the same time.

“Well, I think you will find it funny too once you hear her out.” My mate says

Lucas’s father all the sudden looks at me and so does Lucas’s mother and they both start laughing as well.

“I get it now.” Says the Alpha King “Wait, and you guys are best friends? Is this the young lady you have told me about that you guys wanted her to come here?” The king continues

“Yes, but she would always says she doesn’t know yet. But now she is here so we are happy. Her old pack sucked. Well some people I can’t say all.” Fitz says

“Do you want to tell them princess?” Lucas says

“Ok, so you know how you always told me that there was no way I would ever be able to beat you or that I will always get caught by you because you have been training your whole life?” I asked Fitz while also looking at my other friends. They all nod.

“Okay well what if I told you that the whole time I was “missing”, I was also giving you a run for your money and you never caught me? Actually you got frustrated a lot. All of you did. It was very entertaining to watch. I would go home and have my favorite dessert while I laughed.” I completed

“What do you mean? The only person we have frustrated about because we can’t catch them is -“ He stops and looks at me. His look of shock when he registers who I am.

“ICE, I am ICE. Why do you think I never hurt any of you. I was on my own and just needed supplies. I am sorry for what I put you guys through but you have to really think about it, It was funny that you could never catch me.” I say

They all have shocked look on their faces. They had no idea what to say. Their mouths kept opening and closing. The finally Liv looks at me.

“So, you are telling me that while we were worried about you, you were playing a game with us. You gave us hell. I am so proud. I knew you had it in you. Ha, Fitz used to get so frustrated that he would have dreams oh him finally catching you. So you saved our alpha and your mate. No wonder he didn’t kill you.” Liv says

“What, you are okay with this. I am upset. I can’t believe you did that Emma. I can’t believe I got beat out by you. I hope you are training us. Can she train us? She literally defeated the pack all by herself. And like I said she really does have ninja skills. No wonder we can never catch you. I still don’t know how you do half the things you do. The throwing stars should have tipped me off the other night. Wait, if that was you, then you are supposed to be from this pack. Wait, I think we are cousins?” Fitz just spit out a whole word vomit. It was like he was going through all these emotions.

“Well we have a lot to explain. We felt a connection the night she saved me. I did not tell you guys this but I actually gave her a care package and a note. I wanted to meet her the next day. Yesterday, I went to meet her. We talked for hours. We got to know each other very well. Then, all of the sudden the moon goddess appear. Guess what mom and dad, my god parents are the moon god and goddess.

They had a lot of information to give us. Basically dad, everything you guys told me that night was correct. She is the moon goddess now and we will be next. Only we are apparently the most powerful. We will not only live longer, but we will be the longest reigning moon god and goddess because we will carry all the knowledge and powers from every moon god and goddess before us.

We have to mate tomorrow night on the full moon. Then we will be gone for a while. We don’t know how long but she said it could be up to a week. This will help our transformation after we mate and mark each other. We will also receive training on our powers.

After we had our conversation, we came back to our world and went to Emma’s house. We spent all night talking and made our plans for after we mate and mark as well as for after we come back. My Beta and Gamma will hold the fort down for me while I am out of commission.

When we get back, we will be living in Emma’s house. It is only about 15 minutes from here. Emma has decided to make her land part of our pack, but it will still be hers and under her name. Liv, will you be okay with taking care of Emma’s house while we are gone?” Lucas says

“I can do that. Emma, did you build your dream house like you wanted?” Liv says

“Yes, I did. Even the greenhouse. Also, thank you for being willing to take care of my house. I can give you a tour later on and tell you about everything.” I say

“Okay, but I am taking her out tonight. So you guys have to be done by 7. That’s when I will pick you up.” Lucas says

“Well, that is a lot and Emma, I know you just found out all of this. We had time to prepare for you. Your mother came to us when his ex mate, well yeah. I want you to know that you will be cared for and protected here. You are our daughter now. We promised your mother that will will love and care for you. If you ever need to talk or anything we are here for you.” The Alpha king says.

The Beta stands up and comes and stands next to me. He looks at me and I could see tears shinning in his eyes.

“Hi, I am your uncle, Stephen, I am your mothers brother. I was also her guardian. As guardian, once a bond is formed, you can teleport to your person if they are in trouble. You can feel it. The day your parents died, I was there. Your mom linked me and told me that I can’t intervene. That this was supposed to happen. She told me that one day you would come back to us. I just never thought it would happen. Can I please get a hug?” The Beta, my uncle Stephen said.

I stand up from my chair and hug him. I feel wetness on my shoulder. I know I look like my mom and this must be hard on him.

“So we are actually cousins. No wonder we hit it off so fast. I knew we had a connection. We always said it.” Fitz says and also gives me a hug. My mate growled lowly. I walk over to him and he pulls me on his lap.

“I will talk about this after your transformation, but you know eventually you have to talk to your brothers right? They are your guardians. After you mate and mark and you come back, they will feel a pull to you. Guardians are usually Betas. You will also have a protector. This person is to protect not only you and your mate but also your pack. Usually an Alpha. The Alpha King was your mothers protector. I was her guardian. It is usually members of the same pack. So, this means that your ex-mate and your brothers will be here about 2 hours after you come back. The pull will literally teleport them to you.” My uncle says

“So you are telling me that I have to deal with all that as soon as I get back. I don’t know if I can forgive them. Mom told me things and I know I should but I can’t get past the hurt.” I say

“I know sweetie, but you can’t have that festering in your heart. It will turn your heart cold. That will stop you from reaching your potential.” My uncle says.

“I will give it some serious thought. I will hear them out, but no promises.” I say

“So can she train us?” Fitz ask and everyone laughs
