Nathan sat in a rental Prius — Octavia had told him to stick to public transportation — and through micro-binoculars he watched Jennie and Charlie settling into their new townhouse in Queens. Whenever he focused on her, he saw her happy and laughing and gazing off with love and warmth. It pleased him to see her so well. But then he would look at Charlie, and a fiery film covered his eyes.
