I closed the door after myself and inhaled the fresh morning breeze. I walked down the row of stairs through the labyrinth that led to the gate. I pulled the gate open and stepped outside.
A feeling of wistfulness overcame me as I took my first steps toward the cottage, my former home. This was the first time I was going back in months after the ghost's incident.
