Chapter 8 Staring at her father, she freezes the spot as she feels her heartbeat stop for a moment. Her doom is back, and she's back into hell. "Vl...Vladimir?" She calls to be sure that she's not hallucinating, but the man only glares hard at her. What's with the shock? Were you expecting me to never return? You thought I was never going to come back? Or maybe, you have been praying that I don't come back ever again," his lips curve into a smirk as he stares at her dangerously, and she turns her face away. If only her prayers will be answered, maybe the latter would be the case. It's not her fault to wish her own father died, but anyone will do the same thing if they were in her shoe. "Welcome," she manages to speak up. Her throat feels tired and dry, her face suddenly went pale as she feels her tongue too tired to move. "Get out of my way," his words hits the core of her heart, making it move in fright. Realizing that she has a phone lying on the bed, her face drops in countenance. He's definitely not going to spare her if he finds the phone. Tilting her head, behold, the phone is lying on the bed and not even a cloth is sheltering it. "Are you waiting for me to push you off?" He sneers at her and she flinches, rushing off back into the room, and luckily, she's able to hide the phone before he gets inside the room. She watches him nervously as he walks inside and looks around the room as if he's trying to sense something. After a few minutes, he finally turns around and strides out of the room, slamming the door behind him. "That was close," she finally releases the breath she has been holding, as she crashes into the wall. She thought she would be free for the next one month, but it seems like he only tricked and lied to her. She shouldn't have been so foolish to have believed him. Now that he's back, she has to resume her routine. With all the strength in her, she stands up to her feet and steps out of the room. Her heart aches as she drags herself into the kitchen. It's a good thing that she already had the dishes taken care of yesterday before she left for work. It would've been a load of work for her today. The thought of the mysterious man pops up in her mind, and she sighs softly. Recalling how she felt yesterday, she can't help wondering who he is, and why he had that kind of a dangerous aura. The look on his face, the smiles, and his aura tells much about him. He's a dangerous man. One and a half hours later, she's finally done with all the chores and back into her room to get dressed for work. It only takes her another thirty minutes to get ready and once she was done with everything, she head to work. Stepping out of the house, she stops abruptly at the sight that welcomes her. A black car which she quickly recognizes to be the same car the mysterious man had driven to the beach the previous day, is parked right in front of her house. Slowly, the glass wine down, revealing Nicolai. His raven hair is messed up on his head, and yet fits him perfectly. He's having a big sunglass on his face, which matches his dress perfectly. Although he's in the car, but she can tell his outfit. He's wearing a black t-shirt. "Hi..." He smile at her flirtatiously and she bit her bottom lip. She looks back to the house to make sure that her father is not watching her, and when she's sure, she finally turns to face him. "I thought I returned your phone yesterday? Why are you here?" She asks in between gritted teeth, afraid that he might get her into trouble. "Get in the car," his voice sounds authoritative, his face is now icy and scary. Her heart skips a beat as she freeze on the spot. She tries to think straight, but seeing the look on his face scares her a lot and she can't bring herself to question him. As if she's under a spell, she walks over to the other side of the car and hops in on the backseat. Glancing at her through the visor, the corner of his lips slowly twitch into a smirk. Seeing the look on her face, he feels so satisfied and loves what he's doing. He finds pleasure in doing this. "So, tell me about yourself," he tries to start a conversation between them. Not that he wants to, but he needs to know certain things about her before he makes his move. The ministers will frustrate him to death if he dares not to bring her to the pack at the allotted time. "My name is Zia Vladimir..." "You already told me that. Go straight to the point," his voice airs command, which keeps freaking her out. She purses her lips, trying to calm herself down and stabilize her heart that has been racing. The more the tries to be calmed, the more difficult it seems to be. His presence is making things hard for her, and she can only pray to get off the car soon, that is if doesn't develop high blood pressure before she gets there. "I'm twenty-three years..." "I'm not interested to know your age. Go straight to the point," by this time, he has already stopped the car at the side of the road, his eyes piercing into her soul through the visor. She opens her mouth to talk, but she feels her tongue tied to her mouth, she's too scared and nervous to say something. He already knows her name, and he is not interested in knowing her age, what does he want to know? Those are the questions that keep hitting at her, until his voice suddenly pulls her back to reality, and strikes her with another bombshell. "Let's get married," she freeze on the spot as her eyes slowly widens in shock. His words keep ringing in her head. Is he being serious right now or he's just playing around with her? How can he play with something like that?...
