Chapter 17Lydia hove into orbit around Sol IV, a cold red planet named after some long-forgotten culture's god of war, Mars.
Gaea was the next planet inward, but getting there from outside Sol's Oort cloud required a full bioscan of all ships and an auto-decontamination, or A-decon, of all travelers. Fortunately, while drifting at the edge of Pontus, Lydia and Melanctha had contacted the lawyer of Dmitri Bouras on Gaea, Chiron Likashose. To all appearances, he was a partner in a legitimate law firm whose primary focus appeared to be government lobbying, Likashose looking after the Bouras Syndicate interests in the Hellenic Parliament. From him, they'd secured false identities complete with dossiers, a contingency frequently required of the Syndicate, apparently.
