Clarissa’s POV They had said yes. Before the smile could fully form on my lips, I saw him. Dante stood a few feet away from the entrance, impossibly relaxed, one hand tucked into the pocket of his dark coat and the other holding a champagne bottle that caught the fading light like a provocation. He didn’t belong there outside a corporate building where futures were negotiated and shattered behind glass walls. Seeing him felt like spotting a ghost in daylight.
