Zoey’s fingers twitched at her sides, staring straight into the man’s steel black eyes. “Do it!” she said. Blinking, she leaned off the bridge's rail and stepped forward. The heat from the gun’s muzzle flared into her skin, but she didn’t flinch. “What are you waiting for? Pull the trigger,” she barked. The man didn’t. He pressed his lips into a thin line, fingers tightening around the gun’s trigger. “What, can’t you do it?” Zoey’s voice iced. Heat seared in her eyes, eyeballs turning reddish, quivering. “If you received the order to kill me, then do it already!” The man gritted his teeth tighter, breathing heavily. “Don’t push me, detective.” “Well, I am,” She snapped, eyes burning. “I want you to pull the trigger and see what happens...I don’t believe whoever sent you order
