On the fifth floor of Jimmy’s home, the elevator door slid open as Roland stepped inside the narrow passage. He strode quickly, opening every door he came across, and about walking past one of the rooms, he caught the sounds of voices whispering coming from inside. He stopped dead in his tracks, chest tightening as he eavesdropped. “Dad… mom, what do we do about mom,” a baritone voice stammering sounded from inside.
