Making friends on the First day

~ At School ~

~ Taylor's PoV ~

I was in talking to my soccer coach when I heard my name called from the Principal's office. I immediately rushed towards the office and was informed by the front desk lady that principal Jenna would like to see me. I went inside and saw she was talking to someone, before asking for permission to get in, I peeped inside to confirm if she has not called my parents for missing my yesterday's practice session with my team.

For my relief, she was talking to some other student, at the first glance I was only able to see her from the back. I asked for permission and stepped inside when I went a little near, I was almost hit by a sweet and fresh fragrance, it was so intimidating that I almost felt like in between of beautiful valley of bloomed flowers. Then I heard her voice, it was like music to my ears. I could not concentrate on the conversation which was going around. All I remember is that I was asked to show her the school and be her mentor for a few days. Oh God, I could have not even asked for more.

We walked outside of the principal office and to my surprise, we have 5 classes together, I felt butterflies in my stomach but suddenly I realized that if we will not move fast we may be late for our maths class. I asked her if she was ok to see the school during lunch break and she agreed with a soft smile on her lips, damn she looks so cute when she smiles. We together rushed towards our classroom.

~ Marlyn ~

We stepped inside the classroom and luckily, the teacher has not arrived yet. Taylor offered me a seat next to him and I guess this was in my best interests as I don't know anyone here, so I sat next to him. I was just trying to settle, then I heard a bang on the desk as someone has just made earsplitting noise, I raised my eyes and saw a cute girl was standing next to Taylor, practically grabbing him from his collar and was asking if he will come to the practice tonight or again he is going to bail on them. As soon as she realized that I was looking at her, she smiled at me and said, "Hey my name is Tamara, and I'm a cheerleader and the vocalist for our band Stray stars".

I was about to reply when, Taylor, interrupted, " Tamara, her name is Marlyn and she just got transferred today.

You look so cute and you have beautiful hair, Tamara said and practically she made Taylor, get up from the seat. She asked him to take her seat and joined me by taking Taylor's seat. I saw Taylor was not willing to do that, but eventually, he gave up and moved to the 4th seat from me.

Tamara said that she and Taylor are childhood friends and they grew up as siblings. Tamara was so excited to tell me about so many things and I kept on nodding. Finally, she stopped when the teacher arrived, she hugged me and said welcome to the club sweety, I think we are going to be best friends. I smiled at her, she looked so innocent and happy. I'm glad that I actually made a friend on my first day at school.

The first period went by quickly and so are the rest three more periods before the lunch as Tamara and Taylor were there for me. During lunch, Tamara and Taylor, took me to the cafeteria and the fragrance of the food was so good that my hunger level reached 100%, I quickly grabbed my lunch with them and went towards the sitting area with them. Unlike my previous school, this school has more groupies and seems like they all sit together, some of them have even decorated their tables and corner according to their groups and interests.

I saw looking around when I was suddenly stopped and asked by Tamara to sit, This corner mostly seemed to dedicate to Soccer team players and cheerleaders. Tamara introduced me to everyone and they all seem nice to me. I sat next to Taylor as the seat next to Tamara was already taken by Billy( Tamara's boyfriend). It was indeed a nice first day of school until I saw her and someone called her name, "Hey Kiara".

~ Kiara Pov ~

My name is Kiara Jordon, and I'm the queen bee of Kentwood Academy. I had been president of my class every year and also hold the title for Ms. Kentwood and trust me this year will be no different. As it's high school now, so I will be running for student body president. My strategy has always been to project confidence; I am a people magnet and I got off on manipulating what I attracted. I charmed all of them.

I know some of them to think that I have overly heightened self-esteem, which leads to arrogance. I'm overly aggressive, selfish, manipulative, and confident as I'm a wealthy and/or spoiled kid. I really don't care and they say what they have to say. I know I'm invincible and too popular to give a damn towards what others think.

I'm the captain of the school cheerleading team and a member of the student body council. Also, I throw the best parties in the entire school. My life is perfect, I'm popular, rich, and have two best friends, Lilly and Rebecca, who are always ready to run errands for me. So yes, I'm the Queen Bee of Kentwood Academy.

~ Marlyn PoV ~

Lunch break was good, the cafeteria, food everything was so good. Tamara advised me to stay away from Kiara, as she is the queen bee of the school and the bad news. She also mentioned this guy Kiara has a crush on 'Sean Jenner', he is the captain of the soccer team. She mentioned that he usually spends most of the time with his friends and only appears while it's a practice session for the team. You are unlikely to find them attending any class but they still get full attendance for being excellent in their extra curriculum activities.

The next was a free period so I decided to go to the library to get some extra books for the assignments given in the previous class. Tamara and Taylor had another class to take so they left and I got settled in the library. I was reading English literature, when I heard someone saying, you have beautiful eyes, I looked up with frowned brows and saw a boy was sitting in front of me. He introduced himself, "Hey my name is Steven Roger, I was in your English class today, so thought of introducing myself to one of the beautiful girls I have ever met.

I looked at Steven, he was a player build physic and very attractive with a gentle smile on his face. I replied, My name is Marlyn Stark. I came here from New York. He had a very polite tone, he invited me to the party which is on Saturday, at his place for winning the maths olympiad two days back. He said that almost everyone from the fellow classes will be there and I should really come. I nodded my head and said I'll try for sure. I'll see you there, he said and left by passing me a smile.

So now, I just got invited to the party on my first day of school. I like it. rest all the periods went smoothly and I started walking towards the main gate of the school when I realized that the driver was already waiting for me. I said bye to Tamara and Taylor and hopped into the car, after reaching home, I straight went into my room to relax, as I was too tired from a long and busy day.
