The Crazy thing Ferric Did 😳

“Right on time,” he said, waving me over. “I brought some of my favorites. Hope you like them.” I sat down on the blanket, feeling a bit awkward but trying to hide it. “I’m sure I will.” Ferric opened the basket and began pulling out an assortment of snacks—sandwiches, fruit, cheese, and even some homemade cookies. I couldn’t help but laugh at the variety. “Did you bring the whole kitchen with you?” I joked. He laughed too, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “I might have gone a bit overboard, but I wanted to make sure you had plenty of options.” As we started eating, the conversation flowed easily. Ferric was surprisingly easy to talk to, and I found myself laughing more than I had in a long time. He told me stories about his childhood, about growing up in Pinecrest Apartments, and how he always felt like he had to prove himself to the rich kids in Sapphire Hills. I never really fit in with them,” he admitted, popping a grape into his mouth. “But I guess I learned how to play the game.” I nodded, understanding more than I wanted to admit. “I know what that’s like. My family
they’re wealthy, but they don’t want anything to do with me. I’m like the black sheep.” Ferric looked at me with a seriousness that caught me off guard. “Their loss,” he said softly. “You’re worth more than they’ll ever know.” I felt my cheeks heat up at his words, unsure of how to respond. No one had ever said anything like that to me before, and it left me feeling both flustered and grateful. As the afternoon wore on, we finished the food, and I found myself feeling more relaxed than I had in a long time. Ferric was funny, charming, and surprisingly down-to-earth. For the first time, I saw him as more than just the hottest boy at camp—he was a person, with his own struggles and insecurities. At one point, Ferric picked up a piece of fruit and held it out to me. “Open up,” he said, his voice playful. I laughed, shaking my head. “Seriously?” “Come on, it’s part of the picnic experience,” he teased, his eyes sparkling with mischief. I rolled my eyes but obliged, opening my mouth slightly. He gently placed the fruit on my tongue, his fingers brushing against my lips in the process. The gesture was so unexpectedly intimate that it sent a shiver down my spine. “See? Not so bad,” he said, his voice a bit lower, his gaze lingering on me for a moment longer than necessary. “Not bad at all,” I murmured, trying to ignore the fluttering in my chest. The sun was starting to set, casting a warm glow over the lake as Ferric leaned back on the blanket, propping himself up on his elbows. “This was nice,” he said, his voice thoughtful. “It’s good to get away from all the craziness sometimes.” I nodded, lying back beside him and looking up at the sky, which was painted in hues of pink and orange. “Yeah, it really is.” We lay there in comfortable silence, the sounds of the camp distant and muffled by the peacefulness of the lake. For a moment, it felt like we were in our own little world, free from the pressures and drama of everything around us. As the first stars began to twinkle in the sky, Ferric turned to me, his expression serious. “Zora, I know things are tough for you right now, but I want you to know I’m here if you need anything. I mean that.” I looked at him, touched by the sincerity in his voice. “Thanks, Ferric,” I said quietly. “That means a lot.” He reached out and gently squeezed my hand, a simple gesture that somehow felt incredibly significant. And in that moment, I realized that maybe, just maybe, things were starting to look up. As the stars continued to dot the sky, the air between Ferric and me seemed to thicken, charged with an unspoken tension. I could feel the warmth of his hand still lingering on mine, and every time our eyes met, it was like the world around us faded into the background. Ferric shifted closer, his gaze locked onto mine, the playful smile he usually wore replaced by something more intense. “Zora,” he murmured, his voice low and husky, “there’s something about you
something that draws me in.” My breath hitched. I’d never had anyone look at me the way Ferric was looking at me now, like I was the only person who mattered. It was both exhilarating and terrifying. “What do you mean?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. He leaned in, his face just inches from mine, his eyes searching mine as if he was trying to figure out a puzzle. “I don’t know,” he admitted, his breath warm against my skin. “But when I’m around you, I feel like I can be real
like I don’t have to pretend.” His words sent a thrill through me, and I found myself leaning in too, drawn to him like a magnet. “Maybe we’re more alike than we thought,” I said softly, my eyes flicking down to his lips, which were now so close that I could feel the heat radiating from them. Ferric’s hand moved to my cheek, his thumb brushing lightly against my skin, sending sparks of electricity through my body. “Maybe,” he murmured, his voice almost a growl, “but I don’t want to overthink this.” Before I could respond, his lips were on mine, soft but insistent, his hand sliding into my hair as he deepened the kiss. My heart was racing, and I felt like I was floating, completely lost in the sensation of Ferric’s mouth on mine. His other hand found its way to my waist, pulling me closer until there was no space left between us. The kiss was like nothing I’d ever experienced—hot, urgent, and filled with a passion that took me by surprise. I responded instinctively, my hands finding their way to his chest, feeling the hard muscles beneath his shirt as I kissed him back with equal fervor. When we finally pulled apart, we were both breathing hard, our faces inches apart as we stared at each other in a mix of shock and excitement. “Wow,” I breathed, my head spinning from the intensity of it all. Ferric chuckled softly, his thumb still caressing my cheek. “Yeah
wow.” For a moment, neither of us said anything, just basking in the aftermath of the kiss. But then Ferric’s eyes darkened with a new intensity, and before I knew it, he was pulling me into another kiss, this one even more heated than the last. It was as if a dam had broken, and all the tension that had been building between us was now unleashed in a torrent of raw, unbridled desire. His hands roamed my body, tracing the curves that I’d always been so self-conscious about, but in his touch, I felt nothing but worship. Every caress sent shivers down my spine, igniting a fire within me that I hadn’t known existed. “Ferric,” I gasped between kisses, my fingers tangling in his hair as he trailed his lips down my neck, leaving a trail of fire in their wake. “This
this is crazy.” “I know,” he murmured against my skin, his voice rough with want. “But I can’t stop. I don’t want to stop.”
