Chapter Eight Transcendence The lights on Andee’s board and facemask switched off. The domed room was now gripped in darkness. The only sound was of Andee sobbing as he held Indee’s lifeless body. “No, no, no,” he repeated, staring at her soft cheeks. “How could I have been so stupid? This is my fault. There’s no Indee door. She’s not a key. I’ve gambled with her life!” He gazed at her peaceful face. Light crept over her skin. Andee stared at her beautiful glowing complexion that suddenly became brighter. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of a shining light. Curiously, he turned towards it as it shone brighter.
