Chapter Fifteen
Escape Hatch
Andee and Indee zapped to the entrance of the Black Sea.
“The super sub? It’s not here?” Indee searched in surprise.
Andee raised his wrist to his chin. “Richard, come in Richard!” There was no response, only static feedback. Strange, Andee wondered. Where are they?
“What do we do now, Andee? We don’t have much time.”
“Look!” Andee shone his facemask. “Down there, the shark. Maybe they’re not here yet, but we must keep moving. Come on, Indee. We need that tooth!”
They swam down to the ledge, hovering over the sharks head. A ghost crab crawled from one of its eyes.
Indee pointed. “One of its teeth has already been removed.”
“You’re right,” agreed Andee.
“Maybe they’ve gone further into the Black Sea,” Indee said, “and that’s why communication is down.”
