Chapter-2: The Feisty One

~Indelicato~ I got out of Ale's car as he parked it and a huge building, with 18th-century architectural style, stood in front of me. Theodore High. My first school. It had been a week since the whole Tarot reader incident, and after coming back from Paco's we didn't bring up the topic again. Even after dad's repeated protests, grandma was quite adamant about getting me and Dante enrolled in a school just like Ale. And to do so, she asked Matthew, my dad's secretary to get us enrolled in a public school. Dad, being his usual overprotective self, got us enrolled in the safest and rich school in Detroit. "Whoa. The building is quite interesting." Ale marveled as he stood beside me. "Hmm." I agreed. "How are we going to adjust, Adrian? Ale has been to school before but we haven't." Dante pointed out, anxiously. "Dude, this school is new to me too, just because Mr. Severin was too scared to send you to Brank High, he got my school changed too," Ale reminded. "Guys, who are we?" I asked. "Uh...boys?" Stupid Dante. "Oh! Really? I thought we were slimy hyenas." Ale remarked sarcastically. "Try again. Who are we?" I encouraged. "Bad boys," Ale smirked. "Yeah...Bad boys." I agreed. "And Bad boys don't need to make space for themselves, people give them the way." Dante continued, smirking as well. "That was some deep s**t, bro." I bumped his shoulders. Without wasting any more time, we entered the huge decorated doors of the school. The hallways were bustling with people, some were talking to their friends, some reading or listening to music and the others were just walking. But all of them stopped just as me, Alejandro and Dante entered the hallway. Maybe it's their way of welcoming new students. The guys looked at us with envy, the girls were wide-eyed. Yeah. Three hot boys with prominent jawline, sexy body, luscious lips and intense eyes. That's what we are. This is a natural reaction we would receive from people. You wouldn't believe, last week we were at a McDonald's outlet and the girl who took my order popped a few of her blouse buttons open to flaunt her cleavage to me. That's the effect I have on people, especially girls. My best friend Alejandro gets laid about 3 times a week. Well, my track record is not that advanced, but getting laid is not that big of an issue for me. As for Dante, I would like to leak one of his biggest secrets, he is a virgin. He may be a bad boy, but he believes in love. So he said that he was going to wait until he finds the girl he would be able to love. After the whole 'dramatic' entrance thing, we headed towards the administration office to get our roll numbers and timetables. By far, school seemed a great experience. Even though it's my first time in a school, I am well aware of what happens in here as Ale described it pretty well. After getting our documents from the administration office, we started our search for the lockers given to us three. On the way, we met a few guys namely, Damon, Tony, Cain, and Philip. They seem pretty cool and have that popular status in this school. My first class was chemistry. Damon and Cain had the same class too. There were still full 10 minutes left in class and they insisted on being late, so I decided not to go early. "So, Adrian, what does your dad do?" Cain asked as we moved up the staircase. "He is a businessman," I replied. "What business exactly?" Damon queried. "He is the owner of Indelicato International Limited." "What?" Both of them squealed in my ear. "You...are the son of Severin Indelicato? The man who always features in top 10 in the list of Rich Personalities in the U.S?" Damon asked, his eyes as wide as saucers. "Yeah, guys. I am Adrian Indelicato." "Bro. Now you are our best friend, do you get that?" Cain shrieked. Why do they keep screaming like girls? "A Rich a*s best friend," Damon remarked. "Alright," I said, chuckling. "So let's get to know you," Cain announced, rubbing his hands together. "Yeah, favorite color?" Damon started. "Really Damon? Are you in second grade or what?" Cain shot a glare at him. "Blue," I told them anyways. "Okay, I'll ask a better one. What are you good at?" Cain asked me. "A lot of things." "Damn it! Tell me one." He said. "You threw such an open-ended question at him, bro." Damon pointed out. "Fine, in sports, what do you do well?" Cain asked again. "I am a great athlete, I run fast," I told them. Immediately a smirk lit up Damon's face. "Really? Not faster than me." "You bet?" "Let's play Catch Adrian." He suggested. "Well, I am in." "Okay, Damon, if you are unable to catch Adrian before he reaches the Chemistry lab, you lose," Cain announced the rules. "Done," Damon spoke up. "Where's the lab?" I asked. "You just keep running straight," Cain said. So, we started. I ran, focussing my mind on my legs to prevent myself from slipping on the tiled floor. Cain was shouting behind me and a lot of others had joined him. Damon wasn't exactly hot on my heels, he was having difficulties in balancing on the slippery floor. I looked back to get a glance at him and trust me it was a mistake because I slipped a bit. This helped him gain speed and get closer to me. I tried to pummel my feet harder on the floor, as he was pretty close. Where is the f*****g lab? I had blocked everybody out. As I looked ahead, I saw a turn, just beside a classroom. That must be another hallway... I ran faster now. "Stop!" Somebody screamed from behind me. What? Why? "You've won Adrian, f*****g Stop!" Damon screamed. My speed was very high, and I had only two options, first I could get my head banged against the wall at the end of the hallway or I could turn towards another hallway. So I decided on the latter. I tried controlling my speed just as I reached the turn. "Adrian! Stop that's a staircase there." Cain warned. But it was too late. My feet couldn't stop now. So, I turned involuntarily towards the staircase waiting for my demise. I was about to tumble down the staircase. But, you see guys, my life is full of surprises. There was a girl there. I couldn't stop myself and my body hit hers. She gasped as her body hit the first step. Shit! I quickly put my hands on her as my back hit the next step. Shit! It hurts. At the next step, it wasn't her back that came in contact with, it was my hand. Immense pain shot through my knuckles and at the last step, I hit my head. Fuck my life! The girl lay panting on my chest, her hand tightly clutching my leather jacket. All my friends were coming down the stairs and I lifted my head to look at her. Her eyes were shut and her forehead creased. "Hey. It's okay, you are fine." I calmed her, softly. She opened her eyes. A lavish chocolate brown color. Suddenly, she jumped away from me like I had burned her. Well, you injured her for sure... Stupid conscience. It was when she stood up that I saw how gorgeous she was. Not just her eyes. She was gorgeous from head to toe. Her brown hair cascaded down her back. I lay there on the floor staring at her. The next thing that happened was quite shocking. She kneeled down beside me and grabbed me by the collar, jerking me forward. I got up along with her. "Did you just come out from a mental asylum?" She asked, sweetly, if I might add. A goofy smile graced my lips. Her voice is so melodious. Shut the f**k up! "What makes you think so?" I asked her, c*****g my eyebrow. A lot of people had surrounded us by now. "Well, you were running as if you just sneaked out of one." She spat. "Ouch!" Cain muttered. "Sweetheart." I clasped one of her hands in mine, trying to make her understand, but before I could get started with it she jerked her hand away and smacked my head. What the actual... "Stupidity is not a crime. So, for now, you are free to go." I sassed at her. The crowd cheered my name. I know I am good at throwing insults. "One-liner? Really? But SHOCK ME! Say something intelligent." She retorted. "Janet!" A girl came and stood beside her. Oh! So this feisty queen has a name. Everybody has a name dumb head. Stupid conscience, you don't. "What is going on in here?" The new girl asked. "This girl here." I pointed at Janet. "She needs anger management." "I don't need anger management. I need people to stop pissing me off, asshole." She snarled. Okay, last one. "What time is it?" I asked her. Her face scrunched up in confusion. "b***h O' clock?" I smirked. The crowd burst into fits of laughter. Score! But before she could reply, the Principal had come, supposedly, to stop the crowd forming in the hallways. Well, the first day of school wasn't that bad.
