Date night

REY I glared at Kellen in the rear mirror stifling a burst of laughter as I rubbed my moist palms together. "What's funny?" "You, getting nervous. It's just a date and you haven't been nervous before. I mean even when under pressure. You're always put together. " Kellen explained. "That's because I've never been on a damn date before." I pointed out and he nodded. I don't date ever. I was used to girls throwing themselves at me. After a night, no need to see anymore because they always became clingy afterwards, disgusting me in the process. Not to brag, I had been with eighty percent of Sunnyvilles girls and probably the ones to come since my prowess extended out of this town. Lee, my next target, strolled into the restaurants. I licked my lips as my eyes strayed to her behind. She had a tiny waist giving her figure the perfect hourglass. I parted the b***r that was evident in my pants. It always responded to hot ladies and Lee was damn gorgeous. I was human, after all, I mumbled to myself. Unlocking the door, I got down and did a double check on myself in a door with a mirror close by. Call me narcissistic, I don't care. Who wants to arrive in a fancy restaurant looking like a beggar? Not me. As I was about to stroll in, Kellen halted me, "Be careful with her. She looks innocent and not your usual kind of girl." "Yeah?" I raised an eyebrow. "Why are you here again, if I may ask?" Kellen rolled his eyes, strolled inside and left me to jog after him. A cool breeze from a standby fan struck me as I stepped into the restaurant. I cringed at the lovey-dovey atmosphere and the scene in front of me. Romance and love wasn't my thing and it would never be considering how girls act as they become too clingy and emotional afterwards. I refused to be enslaved by love. It was easy to f**k around, no strings whatsoever attached and easy to discard and forget them at the end. I barfed in my mouth when a boy about my age went down on his knees. I twisted and saw a sign by the side, "Would you be my girlfriend" boldly written on it. The girl shrieked out a ‘yes’ and he brought out a ring, sliding it in her pinky finger. Rolling my eyes I glanced away, scanned for a pretty heart-shaped face, green eyes and brunette locks. My gaze landed on her, sitting with her hands to her cheeks and eyes glazed over. Lee had chosen the most romantic spot. Tracing her gaze, I saw her staring at the new couple. No wonder Kellen told me to be careful with her. He must have known she was romantic at heart. But how? I wondered. A disconcerting image of Kellen and her on bed Flashed in my brain. I pushed it down immediately. I trusted Kellen. He wouldn't do such. I sat down at the table taking in her appearance. She looked even prettier up close. Her make up light, not like the usual bimbo I do carry though. Her gaze fell on the table cloth. I noticed the pink in her cheeks. I smirked. She wasn't immune to my charm, after all, I mused. She had played hard to get in the party all night long making me devise the plan to get her slowly. Since she looked like the kind of person to run away at the wrong move. "Hey." She didn't look up, even as I tapped the table. "Leah." "Lee." She said, going red again as she corrected my slip. Her head raised this time, she twisted a lock of her hair and her eyes flickered around the room. My hands found hers, it was warm to my touch and I squeezed. She gasped and her gaze lifted to my face. A sensation burned in my groin reminding me I needed to get laid. A smirk formed on my face which held her gaze the more. "You look beautiful. " "Thanks. " She said. A waiter appeared at our table ruining the moment. I glared at him as a small smile played on his lips. "Senorita, senor. " Alejandro, the waiter bowed. Rolling my eyes at the formalities, I took the menu he offered, handing it to Lee. "Your usual?" Alejandro said with a smile. I nodded. "What would you like to order?" I said as she dropped the card on the table. "Oh, anything is fine. " She shrugged. "The usual, Alejandro. " He nodded again, walking off. "The usual? I noticed you seem to know each other. You must have been on plenty of dates to be known in this exclusive restaurant. " Lee said, her brows quirked up. "Oh, not a date. My parents are always invited by friends and they do make me tag along because of my little sister. " It wasn't entirely a lie anyways. I have never been on a date. But I have been here several times because of the girls that do bring me here. Also, it wasn't a real date as they were the only interested party. I only tag along to get what I want in the end. As this wasn't a real date too. I only wanted what she had to offer. She needn't know as they didn't always know. "You have a sister?" Her eyes widened. "Yes, her name is Nora. " I disclosed it. No one except Kellen and Winter knew about Nora. I wasn't the type of person to bring up my family, the first time knowing them. Winter. I have known her for only four days and I couldn't stop thinking about her. Something within me makes me want to protect her. It must be her semblance with her that made me feel that way. "I would love to meet her. " Lee exclaimed, snapping me out of my reverie. She beamed, her green eyes sparkled giving it a unique look. "Yeah, maybe someday. " And only if we lasted long enough, I added to myself. The order arrived and we dug in. I watched as she ate with much etiquette and finesse. Not even a single drop of food on the table or back on the plate as she lifted it from the fork. A pair of eyes burned through my back. I twisted to see Kellen watching us. I winked at him and he shook his head. Chuckling, he discreetly flipped a finger in my direction. I took the last bite of my lobster, washing it down with the red wine ordered. "Twenty questions!" Lee clapped her hands, licking her lips. She must have drunk too much of the wine to act this giddy. Please, kill me. "What makes you unique?" "Football. " I said without thinking. "Silly, everyone plays football. " She lifted the glass of wine to her lips again. I halted her, offering her water instead. "Not everyone. " I argued. "But that shouldn't be what makes you unique." Her face scrunched up as she took a sip of the water. I could see what Kellen meant when he said she wasn't like the kind of girl I do stay with. Aside from being a hopeless romantic like Alyssa, she was a lightweight and she would be clingy. I don't like those kinds of girls. They were total turn-offs for me. "Hey." She tapped my hand, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Oh, yeah..." I glanced at the small wall clock which was present in every corner seat of the restaurant. "I need to get you home." "Yeah." She said and attempted to stand up. I steadied her as she staggered. "I must have taken a little too much of that wine." She giggled and her hand went up to fan her face. "I'm okay, just teeny bit tipsy." I lifted the half-emptied water in the cup to her lips, urging her to drink up. She giggled in between sips but eventually emptied the cup. She came into the restaurant sober, the least I could do was make her go back that way. ★★★★★★ "So, today was fun." She said as the car halted in front of her house. I nodded as she came down. I did the same, escorting her to the entrance. "So..." "Yeah..." I replied awkwardly. "umh, see you tomorrow at school." She said and I nodded again. Moving back to the car, I felt a body rammed into my back. It was more or less a ten seconds hug. The warm and soft body left me and I swivelled facing Lee. Her cheeks were rosy and her eyes stared down. Lifting her head, I placed a peck on her cheeks. She hugged me briefly again before going in. I walked back to my car after she secured the lock on the entrance door. "I owe you one at Edmund's cafe for behaving normally," Kellen said. "Even the beast would behave naturally at first before unleashing its inner power." I chuckled. "i***t. " He mumbled backing away from the driveway "How did your date go?" "My date?" He questioned "Yeah. The reason you followed me. " "Oh... Yeah... I was stood up. " He shrugged. "What of that blonde with a big butt?" "Oh no, she felt like keeping me company." Kellen chuckled. "I saw her scribing something in a paper for you," I said. "I threw it in the bin outside. " I stared at him and we burst out laughing. "Wow, that's so kind of you. " "Very. She should be happy I did it secretly anyway. " He shrugged. I knew he wouldn't do it publicly. He was just so kind unlike me that would decline outrightly in her presence.
