With steady steps, he cautiously headed towards her.
"I am sorry for what happened before, tell me."
Rose answered him calmly:
"Don't worry, I wasn't very surprised by that, but why are there looks of hatred on everyone's faces here?"
He said:
"They saw a sack… He is from the castle of the sack."
Her eyes widened in surprise:
"Is what you're saying true? Impossible!"
Rose looked very surprised:
"And how did they know that?"
He replied:
"It's the jewel... only the castle holds such rare jewels. Where did you get it?"
Rose didn't want to rush into telling him the truth, so after some hesitation she said:
"I found him near a body in the valley, and I took him to his father, but I..."
He shook his head anxiously:
"So then… beware of selling it, or bury it in the..."
She sighed:
"I can't, but anyway, thank you for your text."
Then, after a moment of silence, she added:
"But he had another request."
I was unsuccessful.
Somewhere, his presence with you will bring you trouble."
"What is it?"
"I want you to guide me to that castle."
He looked at her hesitantly:
"Are you sure about that?"
She answered firmly:
"Yes, I have no choice. I will go there."
Th and Dor drew a map for Rose, in which he identified the location of the castle and the checkpoints, and he did not forget to point out the locations
of their camp during the year, in case she needed their help.
She said with a grateful smile:
"You are truly a good man, I wish you success."
He answered her kindly:
"Me too, Rose, I hope you find your family as soon as possible."
Rose mounted her horse and rode off amidst the astonishment of the crowd towards another unknown destination.
I feel like I didn't know who I was with all these years... Teacher, who are you really?
No… he’s a good person, he would never do such things. And yet, while the men of the castle and its ruler were
wreaking havoc, my teacher was with them all the time… Did he know about it? And is that why he hid?
She sighed anxiously:
My thoughts are confused…
I looked at the map carefully.
There is a village ahead, I can spend the night there, then I will continue on my way.
After traveling half a day, a village appeared before her eyes out of nowhere, amidst thick fog and strong winds.
"What is this? Magic? There's no magic here... Did it appear out of nowhere?"
Amidst hesitation in entering it and fear of its strangeness, a group of knights emerged from it, wearing silver armor and carrying a
white banner with a black eagle in the center.
The horse stopped in front of Rose, and one of the knights approached:
"Are you from the village?"
She answered quickly:
"No, no… I'm just looking for a place to sleep for the night, nothing more."
He said sternly:
"Stay away from the roads."
Then they set off quickly.
Her breathing quickened:
"What is this? That terrified me... Where did they come from?"
I looked up at the sky, and found that darkness had descended suddenly.
"I will enter it... I have no choice.
