Ghost in the window

210 Words
You wake up to the sound of the rhythmic thumping at your window. You get out of bed and walk towards the window, trying to figure out what could be causing the noise. As you approach the window, you see a small, scruffy-looking dog outside. It's pawing at the window, trying to get your attention. You open the window and the dog jumps up, wagging its tail excitedly. It looks up at you with big, pleading eyes. You can't help but feel sorry for the little guy, out in the cold and rain all alone. You decide to take the dog in for the night, hoping to find its owner in the morning. As you settle back into bed, the dog curls up at your feet, and you can't help but feel a sense of comfort and companionship. The next morning, you set out to find the dog's owner, but as the day goes on, you realize that the dog may not have an owner after all. You decide to keep the dog and give it a new home. From that day on, the two of you become inseparable, and the thumping at your window becomes a welcome sound, a reminder of the night you found your new best friend.
