CHAPTER 19: ADMIRATION

1060 Words

Joshua reproaches himself for what happened to Faith; with her, he is not the cruel man he is to the world. She disarms him. Thinking about betrayal makes him feel such fury that his body seems like fire at this moment, but remembering that she didn’t hesitate to defend him, to stay by his side, gives him some joy. For the first time, he can feel joy with a woman. He enters his room, follows his hygiene routine, and lies on the bed in his underwear, as he always sleeps this way. He decides to make a call to his house in France; he needs to talk to Maick to see how everything is going. “I don’t want that woman on my side of the house, I want it clear that once the child turns one year old, I want her out of my house and my life forever,” Joshua tells Maick, who takes care of everything.
